The wonderful Stardew Valley has catapulted its creator, Eric Barone, into the spotlight, with the game selling over 20 million copies across all platforms as of May 2022. Mr. Barone participated in a lengthy, insightful new interview with Screen Rant in which he discusses a number of things including his latest project Haunted Chocolatier. He says development on the magic game is going well, but it will be a while before it’s released, saying in an interview that “it’s a big game. I have a big, ambitious vision for it. How is the Haunted Chocolatier going anyway?
“It’s going well, but it’s a big game. I have a big, ambitious vision for it. It’s a little scary, the amount of work it’s going to be. But Stardew Valley took me four and a half years; I’ve been working on Haunted Chocolatier for about a year and a half or maybe two years. I announced it a little over a year ago, but it will still be a long time coming. But I think it’s going well. Far. There have been a lot of good things so far.”
