Stardew Valley creator Eric ‘ConcernedApe’ Barone released a brand new patch for the PC version this week and provided an update on the console update.
If you’re pushing for the Switch version 1.6 Update, Barone reassured fans on social media that it’s “still a work in progress.” In the following, he thanks everyone for their patience. We transmit the message from social networks in its entirety:
@Worried Monkey – “Stardew Valley 1.6.6 is now available for PC. These are mostly bug fixes and translation changes. The full patch notes can be found here: https://stardewvalley.net/stardew-valley-1-6-6-full -patch -notes/… Console and mobile ports are still in progress, thanks again for your patience!”
Barone had already mentioned that the goal was to release 1.6 for consoles “as soon as possible,” but he didn’t have a specific date.
In case you’re wondering, the latest update for PC (version 1.6.6) includes balance and gameplay changes, translation changes, bug fixes, and some mod-related fixes. A previous PC update earlier this month added 40 new mine skins to the game.
You can check out the patch notes for 1.6 in our existing story, and when it goes live on Switch we’ll let you know.
