Following the news earlier this month that The Mario Movie could be receiving a domestic release soon, Universal has now officially confirmed that it will be released on digital platforms later today. May 16 in the USA.
You should be able to catch it on streaming services like Amazon and Apple services for a one-time payment of $29.99. Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be an option to rent the movie at this time. The following is Optimum TV’s confirmation that it will be released “on demand” on this date as well.
In less than a month, Mario Movie managed to cross the $1 billion mark in theaters, breaking multiple records around the world. It is now perhaps best known as the greatest video game adaptation of all time and is currently the highest grossing film of 2023.
