We recently shared with you some really positive sales data for Nintendo from France, like that Animal Crossing: New Horizons it was the best-selling game last year in the country. Well, now we have more details.
These have been shared by Philippe Lavoué, Principal Manager of Nintendo France. This is the information that we have been able to know:
- Animal Crossing: New Horizons is approaching one million units sold
- The game has continuously remained in the top 3 of sales and is still there in early 2021
- 7% of French people own a Switch
- The console has sold 4.7 million copies in the country to date (at the end of 2019 it had sold 3.3 million copies)
- Growth is over 40% and 2020 sales are split evenly between young adults and families with children
- Other games in last year’s top sellers are Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Super Mario 3D All Stars along with Ring Fit Adventure, Just Dance 2021, 51 Worldwide Games, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Cataclysm and Paper Mario: The Origami King.
