It may be late in the life of the switch, but new apps still come to the ESHOP system. With that in mind, Shogakugan will launch a “mango reader” for the hybrid device March 13, 2025.
The post shared by a member of the Corocoro editorial department shared this news. As you can see, users will need to replace the system from horizontal to vertical. Obviously, the face buttons “like x and y” are used to zoom, so you will have to keep a switch joy-con on your hand if they are not already attached to the system.
There is no mention of this release outside Japan (or access to the Shogakugan's Manga collection locally on the switch), but if we hear any updates before March, we will let you know.
