The Tetris 99 34th MAXIMUS CUP event runs from 12am PT on July 7th to 11:59pm PT on July 10th. To participate, any Nintendo Switch Online* member just needs to play Tetris 99 online during the event period. Players will earn event points based on their placement in each match. Once players collect a total of 100 event points, a new theme will be unlocked, featuring Pikmin 4-inspired background art, music, and Tetrimino designs.
In Pikmin 4, you’ll raise a crop of plant-like Pikmin and lead them on an adorable expedition. Create your own explorer and manage a large planet from a small perspective. You also get a space dog! Oatchi can help with things like breaking obstacles and carrying Pikmin during your adventure.
You can even download a free demo of Pikmin 4 to start playing right away. Then, if you decide to buy the full version, your save file will be transferred when the game launches on July 21st. This means you can keep the character you’ve created and continue where you left off on your journey.
