There seems to be news in Nintendo’s legal landscape. In this case we are talking about a new legal case for the Nintendo Switch Joy-Con.
Specifically, this is related to two demands that have recently been dismissed. These are two of the oldest lawsuits, Díaz against Nintendo and Carbajal against Nintendo, filed in 2019 and 2020 respectively. Today we learned that they have been officially rejected by the plaintiffs.
Also these details have been confirmed:
- Dismissal with prejudice means that cases are closed with no possibility of being reopened in the future.
- The reason why the plaintiffs decided to request dismissal has not been revealed.
NEW – 5 years of efforts to sue Nintendo over Joy-Con drift have all but ended with a whimper
Plaintiffs (parents/kids) and defendant (Nintendo) in the 2 main class action claims in the U.S., filed in 2019/20, agreed last week to call for their dismissal https://t.co/dTLhP7Wzci
