IGN has weighed in on speculation linking Bloober Team to Nintendo’s new ‘Emio’ reveal and it appears that this developer is “probably not” involved in this project (thanks, GoNintendo). Here’s exactly what was mentioned during episode 718 of the Nintendo Voice Chat podcast:
IGN: “We have sources that say that [Emio] probably not [Bloober Team]…we have reputable sources who say it’s probably not a Bloober game.”
As mentioned in the original story, Bloober Team is working on a new title called ‘Project M‘ “in collaboration with the world’s best game creators for Nintendo platforms”. It will reportedly have a “significantly smaller” budget compared to its usual projects.

Polish horror game developer Bloober Team, known for series like Layers of fear, Media and Konami’s upcoming release Silent Hill 2announced that he is working on a new project for Nintendo platforms.
In an interview earlier this weekBloober listed a title called ‘Project M‘ which has a budget “significantly smaller” than his usual projects and is being developed “in collaboration with the world’s best game creators for Nintendo platforms”. Here is the translation (via ResetEr):
“Project M, although the budget is significantly smaller than the games we work on at Bloober Team, is extremely important for our long-term plans. In addition, we are working on it in collaboration with the world’s best game creators for Nintendo platforms, so we cannot afford to create only decent games,” Bloober Team CEO Piotr Babieno told PAP Biznes.
All this along with Nintendo’s disturbing revelation of a new horror game called ‘Emio‘, which he apparently publishes. Note that Bloober hasn’t confirmed exactly what ‘Project M’ is at this stage, but unsurprisingly, there’s already been some speculation that the two announcements are related.
Another part of the same interview was also highlighted on social networks with the note that this new Bloober project will appear under the brand ‘Broken Mirror Games’ (thanks, LuigiBlood):
“The first announcements of Project M will appear later this year, and the title itself will open our second-party portfolio under the Broken Mirror Games brand”
At this stage there has also been no official confirmation or anything to suggest that the two posts are linked. Notably, Bloober’s announcement mentions “Nintendo platforms” in general, so there’s a possibility that his project could target Nintendo’s “successor” to the Switch, which should be announced this fiscal year.
