One of the more prominent Nintendo Switch 2 leakers was NextHandheld who recently doubled down on the newly announced platform's Joy-Con controller that features Hall Effect joysticks. NextHandheld says this is evident in the system crash. One of the biggest problems with the original Joy-Con controllers was the prominent movement of the sticks, which Nintendo was forced to admit was a problem with the system. Nintendo has yet to determine if the Nintendo Switch 2 Joy-Cons will have Hall Effect joysticks, but when we finally hear, we'll let you know. If you're curious about Hall Effect joysticks, there's a good explanation of them on Windows Central, which you can read below.
“Hall Effect joysticks are a type of joystick that use magnets and electrical conductors to measure their position, distance and movement when in use. Unlike standard analog sticks, which use electrical resistance to detect motion, Hall effect joysticks have no physical contact between the moving parts. This means they don't wear easily and develop stick drift, a common pain point for players. Club drift is when the club starts behaving unpredictably and causes unwanted movement in your game” – Windows Central article
