A remake of the first Trails game was briefly spotted in today’s Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase. Titled The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky the 1st, it can be seen from approximately 50:52 to 51:02 and has been given a release window of 2025. Other than that, not much else is known, but we’ll keep you posted as it happens more news came out about it.
The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky is the first game in the Trails sub-series of games by Nihon Falcom. Set in the land of Liberl, it follows the Bright siblings as they begin a continent-spanning saga of heroism and political intrigue – keeping them together through classic RPG combat and quests.
From what can be seen in the footage, this remake refreshes the visuals and makes a change in the active combat system from the original’s turn-based battles.
