Update []:: After his update in December last year, it seems that Sakaguchi Hironobuchi has shared several more details about his next project during an interview Verge (Thanks for the head up, push the square).
Asked what was ahead of us, Sakaguchi reiterated that he was working on a “new project” with “the same team”, which worked on the Dimension of Fantasian Neo.
He also noted that he would obviously have a connection with Final Fantasy VI and he is expected to follow a “similar style” in his previous works. And to add that, it will be the “second part” of his forgiveness:
Sakaguchi Hyronobu: “I am currently working on a new project with the same team that worked Fantasy neo dimensions. Would usually follow a similar style as my previous works, and it will be something that can be a heir Final Fantasy VI In a good way – our goal is to create something old at the same time, but new. It will be the second part of my farewell notes. “
You can see what another Final Fantasy creator should have said recently in the original article below:
Original story: After the recent exit of the Fantasy Neo Dimension for Switch, the creator of Final Fantasy Hironoba Sakaguchi is now focused on his future.
In the same interview with Famitsu with the creator of Dragon Quest Yuji Horii, Sakaguchi revealed that he would not call his career time soon. Instead, he gave update about his “new project”, which is believed to be a New title “Dark Fantasy” from Mistwalker.
It will be allegedly involved in reunification with the famous composer Nobuo Uemats and the script for this project is already complete, but it could still be some time. Here's what Sakaguchi had to tell Famitsa (via Gamesradar):
Sakaguchi Hyronobu: “There are many things I can't talk about but I'm working on a new project. I can't tell you exactly what I'm doing, but it's been around a year since I wrote a script, so I'm in a situation where I think I will be able to get to a good point for about two years. “
Once again, this is the same interview in which Yuji Horii said he “never thought about retirement.” You can read more in our previous story here on Nintendo Life:
