Sales figures for the best-selling video game software and hardware for the month of June 2023 have arrived from Europe’s largest gaming market, the UK. June proved to be a busy month for new releases which included the release of a new Final Fantasy game, Final Fantasy XVI, Diablo 4, and a new entry in EA’s popular F1 racing franchise, F1 2023. It turned out to be Activision-Blizzard’s Diablo 4 which sold the highest amount of units both digitally and physically. Speaking of Diablo 4, it is now the second best selling game of 2023 in the UK, just behind Hogwarts Legacy. Unfortunately, Nintendo doesn’t share digital data so all we have for the critically acclaimed The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom would be physical sales of the game. On the hardware side of things, it was Sony’s PlayStation 5 that emerged as the best-selling console in the UK in June, with the PS5 followed by the Nintendo Switch family of systems and the Xbox Series X|S consoles in third place.
