The latest information on Riot Games’ popular free-to-play shooter Evaluation has reportedly revealed references to the Switch.
This led to speculation that a Nintendo version of the game could be in the works. Some other theories suggest that it might just be special controller support for the game. Additionally, there are references to crossplay, and some other finds include evidence of Linux and Steam Deck versions. He originally observed this PC_Focus on social media.
Competitive team-based FPS Valorant debuted on PC in 2020 and draws inspiration from games like Valve’s A counter strike and Blizzard’s Overwatch series. Note that there is no official confirmation that this will be released on Switch, so it’s just an interesting reveal for now.
This follows some Valorant job postings it suggested that Riot might bring the game to certain consoles in the future. Here is the official description of the title:
“Mix your style and experience on a global, competitive stage. You have 13 rounds to attack and defend your side with sharp weapons and tactical skills. And, with one life per round, you’ll have to think faster than your opponent if you want to survive. Fight your enemies in competitive and unranked modes, as well as in Deathmatch and Spike Rush.”
Riot has previously released a bunch of smaller releases on the Switch including Bandle Tale: A League of Legends Story, which launched on the eShop last month. The company also cut 530 jobs globally earlier this year.
