We've now reached the point in Switch 2 rumors and leaks where even the reveal of the console itself is no longer spared. It should officially happen by the end of this fiscal year, which is less than a few months away. However, Nintendo has yet to give an exact reveal date. Not only that, but we don't really know how Nintendo plans to pull it off.
Of course, now there are rumors about that too. VideoGamesChronicle's Andy Robinson recently appeared on the latest episode of VGC: The Video Game Podcast. In it, he reveals that “all I've been told is that it's going to be 'here's the system,' and the full reveal will come later.” If that sounds familiar, that's because it is. It's identical to how Nintendo revealed the Switch 1. A trailer was released, followed by a full presentation a few months later.
Assuming all the leaks and rumors are true, the next console seems to aim to simply take the Switch 1 formula and improve upon it. If so, then it wouldn't be all that surprising if Nintendo took a similar approach to the console reveal. In fact, that was the most popular theory that people proposed regarding how the reveal of the Switch 2 would go. Once that happens, the rumors and leaks will finally be put to rest.
