In a new video from Vanity Fair, voice actor Sarah Natochenny talks about the process of being called Pokémon anime.
If you are a fan of the show, or even just have a passion for anime or film, the video is an excellent watch. Natochenny provides the voice of lead character Ash Ketchum in the English-language version of the show, and has been doing it since 2006. Plus, we see him working on the scene from Pokémon Sun and moon anime arc while learning about how everything is put together.
As well as acting on its own, the video touches on how the show and its dialogue are interpreted in terms of western culture, fine-tuning and digital editing that happens in the studio, as well as in-flight script editing.
If you're left wanting to watch some of the anime yourself, you can find some of the available episodes for free Pokémon's official site, and you'll also find the latest movies available for you to watch on Netflix.
Fascinating stuff!
