After last week’s sale, I think I’m going to be big and bold and try to play some of the games I actually own this weekend. I really want to get some more time with Pokémon X on the 3DS after it’s taken a bit of a back seat recently, and I’m also hoping to revisit my beloved Pikmin 2 before it hits its 20th (!!) birthday next week.
Yes, Monster Hunter Rise is only £8.74 on the eShop right now, but I’ve got to stay strong…

I’m still on a bit Turn out currently high, so I downloaded the next gen update for Fallout 4 and exited vault 111 once more into the wasteland beyond. Again I’m really enjoying my time with the franchise and if Bethesda had any sense they would have focused their efforts on Fallout 5 now
I don’t play Switch at all right now. No sir. It’s all 3DS for me this weekend. I’ve got Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser’s Minions up and running and plan to play every Mario ‘RPG’ on 3DS (yes, even Sticker Star). I have to prepare for The Thousand-Year Door somehow, right?

I started watching that new Fallout show, and I’m only two episodes in, but so far it’s all made me think “man, do I want to play Fallout”. So then I played Fallout New Vegas, and the weather wasn’t kind to him, so I then had to switch to my computer and download about 70 mods, which was a harrowing experience that lasted three days. Now I have all the mods ready to go, and I find myself not really wanting to play Fallout New Vegas anymore! Frustrating.
I picked it up Dragon’s Dogma 2 again, and I think it’ll come to Switch at some point because it’s basically the same as Dragon’s Dogma 1. Someone called it a “messterpiece” and I pretty much agree — it’s got an amazing design, with some choices we’d have considered dated ten years ago. I like that.
On Switch, I still play Balatro before bed, but video games have lost their luster a bit lately. I find myself wanting to play the same old games, but modified, which means the Switch is being pushed to the side whether I want it to or not. I’m really looking forward to finding something meaty to sink my teeth into in video games, but I haven’t found it yet. Recommendations are always welcome.
That’s what we have planned for the weekend, what about you? Take the following poll with the game you’ll be running over the next few days, then slide into the comments to tell us what other titles are on the cards.
