I’m going to see friends this weekend so I’d expect a decent amount of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Boomerang Fu – how I slept on the latter for so long is a mystery to me. It’s a three-hour train ride each way, so hopefully I’ll be able to polish a few more dungeons in Echoes of Wisdom and perhaps even wrap. Tune in next week to see how successful I am, I guess.

I’m slowly but surely making my way through Echoes of Wisdom. It’s nice to experience the ‘old’ Zelda game again, although I have to admit that something about it doesn’t sit well with me. I can’t quite pinpoint it, but I’m enjoying it regardless.
I will go through the original in another place Silent Hill 2 ago remake finally falls. So excited!

We live in times of abundance. Besides all the latest new games, I found myself spending time with DLC releases: new characters in TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge, Mortal Kombat 1 story expansion, and Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown insanely hard Palace of the mind. Add in The Karate Kid: Street Rumble, the insane amount of things to do in Gundam Breaker 4, BAKERU’s constant madness, and the always clever puzzles The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom and my schedule is packed, even without the fervor of non-Nintendo sessions Burnout 3: Downloading and WH40K: Space Marine II. What is it, Mr. Mailperson? I physical copies Collection of Ace Attorney investigations and Hokkaido serial murder case: the disappearance of Okhotsk arrived? Well, I can’t object to that.
It’s the game of the week Iron meat. I played the first public demo on STEAM over a year ago and the final product is such a polished and rewarding experience. By far one of the best counter-inspired this year’s game releases so don’t sleep on this meat.

Enchanting tables, enslaving Hyrulean cephalopods and trying to make your way through the open world in Legend Of Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdom. I’m also trying to unravel the mysteries of Animal Well, specifically how the developers managed to instill in me a primal fear of ostriches.

Somewhat coincidentally, my pre-ordered copy of Zelda arrived at the end of this week (making me question the benefits of pre-orders). Disappointing, but it left me enough time to finish Link’s awakening before the shiny new tilt-shift gem. I have now joined every Hylian and their interactive dog in Echoes of Wisdom. I first six hours were amazing. Creative solutions? That. Old school dungeons? That. Finally playing as Zelda? HELL YES.
I’ll be playing it all weekend unless my partner takes my hands off the Switch. It’s good that he has Starfield: Shattered Space to keep him busy.

Balatro couldn’t seem out of my comfort zone if he tried. I’m bad at math, I’ve never played poker and in general, anything with a lot of numbers doesn’t suit me. I didn’t think I’d get as many hours into the game as Balatro, but hey, stranger things have happened.
I weekend plans evolved from playing my usual games (Pokémon and World of Warcraftin general) to desperately trying to figure out what a royal flush is and collecting tiny, ominous wild cards. It’s a wicked addition to the somewhat niche world of roguelike deckbuilders, and it’s perfect for mobile gaming.

This weekend I’ll be playing a bunch of Astroneer, most likely with a little Zelda and maybe a little Loddlenaut. It’s quite a mixed bag, but honestly, they all go together well, like a delicious cake of a gentle puzzle-solving game.
I wish Echoes of Wisdom felt less emptyhowever. I keep climbing up to the secret areas to discover… nothing. Where are all my hidden treasures?

Having just returned from Japan and feeling a bit exhausted trying to finish NES Zelda while traveling (without using the guide – bad decision), I was drawn to my long awaited copy of No More Heroes III. I am in love with this series and have played the other two consecutive autumns. The chill in the air makes this the right move and I’m looking forward to it.

Like many others, I intend to bow out of my Hyrule adventures this weekend with Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom. The good news is that I splurged on a nice looking Hyrule Edition Switch Lite to use as a secondary system for super fast bursts of Zelda while I’m out and about. The bad news is that I’ve collected so many echoes that every enemy interaction takes me up to a full minute of scrolling through menus to find the right counter, so it’s slower than ever.
When it’s over, it’s all creepy games, baby. Those positive reviews for the Silent Hill 2 remake got me really excited — probably excited enough to bite on that two-day early deluxe edition nonsense they’re doing. Now, there is a terrifying thought.
That’s what we have planned for the weekend, what about you? Let us know in the poll below which games you plan to launch in the next few days.
