Fans of Final Fantasy Tactics will be pleased to hear that Final Fantasy director Naoki Yoshida is open to creating a new game in the classic series, should the opportunity arise. The news was shared in an interview with Player in which Yoshi-P said that he is a huge fan of the series and thinks it is the right time to revisit the franchise. Whether it actually will or not depends on how busy the team is, but it’s good to hear that it’s one title on the wish list.
“We have a lot of our staff that worked on previous games like Final Fantasy Tactics or Final Fantasy 12, so you’ll have a lot [Tactics] I feel because there are many of the same people in the team.”
He adds that he is “very happy” to hear the proposal for another Tactics game, as the teams are fans of the games themselves. “We also like tactics. It’s probably time to make a new one.”
