Some news recently appeared about the possible remake of his beloved JRPG Chrono trigger and although the translator was just having fun, there was another small development in this story.
Gamereactor was actually at the same event and talked to the legend of the industry (and the designer of Dragon Quest) Yuji Horii about the celebration of the 30th anniversary for Chrono Trigger. He spoke of the idea of Remake himself and often receives “a lot of demands” and “starts thinking”. Here's his translated response in full:
Yuji Horii: “Yes, I want to do something. Currently, Dragon Quest saw III, and II Remake. I get a lot of demands for remake Chrono Trigger, so I'm starting to think about it.”
Although it is not a confirmation that something is on the road like the previous story, Yuji at least acknowledged the fans' demands with this latest answer. We hope that means that Square Enix will eventually cook something – maybe after you do it with Dragon Quest and & II HD -2D Remake, who should go out at some point this year.
Back in March, the Japanese company announced that she was planning various projects in the next year to celebrate the anniversary of Chrono Trigger – with plans to go “outside the game world.”
