Amazon’s first big sale of the year doesn’t start until tomorrow, but you can already save big on its Echo smart devices.
It’s no surprise that Amazon is selling its own-brand gadgets cheaply, as it always does during sales, but that means it’s your chance to outfit your home for a fraction price.
Two of the best deals save you more than 50%, starting with the Echo Pop Alexa-enabled smart speaker, which normally costs £44.99, but down to just £19.99, saving you 56%.
You can choose one of four colors and there are also deals if you want to pair it with an Alexa smart plug, Philips Hue bulb or battery base.
It didn’t get rave reviews when we tested it, but at this price it’s a cheap speaker, like in a kid’s bedroom, where audio quality isn’t paramount.
If you need something with more audio punch, then the Echo (4th Gen) with Dolby and Smart Hub capabilities is half price, letting you own it for just £54.99, down from £109. £99.
Again, you can choose all three colorways and there are bundles that provide additional savings. We gave it a 4-star rating with an Editor’s Choice award.
Amazon calls these “early spring deals” and while it’s possible that prices will drop even further during the sale period (March 20-22), we doubt that’s the case. Deals on Echo devices haven’t started yet in the US, but it shouldn’t be long before those prices are reduced for the Big Spring Sale, as it’s called there.
