Amazon announced a new version of its cheapest Kindle e-reader a few days ago, which can finally be charged via a USB-C port instead of the old microUSB as more expensive Kindles have done in recent years.
The new Kindle has a 300 pixels per inch (dpi) screen, a higher resolution than the previous model’s 167 dpi and identical to the Kindle Paperwhite and Kindle Oasis, the most expensive models in the line.
On the other hand, it has 16 GB of storage, double the gigabytes of the previous model, and promises six weeks of battery life. It’s not waterproof, but it’s still the best Kindle for most people. In addition, you can choose between two colors, black or denim blue, but it does not exist in white.
This Kindle still has a touchscreen, albeit recessed, and four front lights for nighttime reading and low-light conditions, so you won’t miss too much. Its 6″ screen is more than enough and you can adjust the font, size and brightness to your liking.
That’s all you need to know to buy it.
