Spider-Man is best known for its film adaptations. All three series, led by Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland respectively, have been well-received by fans. Additionally, the animated films Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse are among the best superhero films ever made.
With its latest project, Sony has charted a new course for the beloved hero. Spider-Noir, formerly known as Noir, will be the first live-action series featuring Peter Parker. Moreover, it will take Spidey out of his familiar surroundings and place him in the dark reality of 1930s America.
Spider-Man Noir first appeared on screen in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse as a version of Peter Parker from another reality. The sinister superhero was voiced by Nicolas Cage, who was well-received by fans.
It seems Sony has taken note of the admiring voices: the actor will reprise his role in the standalone live-action Spider-Man Noir series.
Spider-Noir is being developed by Sony in collaboration with Amazon Prime Video. Read on if you want to know more about the series.
