It has been more than a year since the launch of the Apple Vision Pro, and it was not exactly a roaring success.
Of course, it is filled with impressive technology, but with a high price and bulky design, it would never be the revolutionary product that Apple sought. Now Apple is trying to inspire a new life with Apple Intelligence there, but I am not convinced that this is enough.
Apple's AI suite provides features such as chatgpt integration, intelligent and genmoji responses. The helmet even obtains an exclusive functionality for creating a memory, which creates personalized video montages from photos and user videos. It's good, but barely a change of game.

However, the problem has never been a lack of AI characteristics, but the pro vision itself. The AI will not make it lighter, more comfortable or, above all, more affordable. At £ 3,499 / $ 3,500, it remains a luxury gadget.
The battery life is another persistent problem, with only two hours of use before having to connect the external battery. And let's not forget the disadvantage of carrying this battery in your pocket.
Even with AI, the pro vision has trouble integrating naturally into daily life. Is it ideal for looking at immersive content, but work or communication? Not so much.
The management of clumsy applications and the isolation of the nature of the helmet means that it does not replace existing devices but only adds another expensive screen to juggle.
Apple
This is why the idea of Apple's smart glasses was so much more exciting for me.
A light and AR -based alternative could provide real -time information without closing people. But Apple would have put this project aside, leaving us stuck with the pro vision.
There is no doubt that Apple Intelligence will improve the experience, but that will not solve the fundamental problems of prices, design and practicality. No amount of AI can change this.
