The rumor mill never rests with regard to Apple iPhones.
The iPhone 16 series has been released for more than eight months, and interest in the iPhone 17 increases. As Apple is notoriously secret, we do not expect to get official news, but rumors provide more and more concrete information, thanks to specification leaks and dummy phones.
Here is an overview of everything we know so far on the whole programming. Remember, however, that nothing is settled in stone until Apple Annue.

How much will the iPhone 17 cost?
In summary
- Prices are currently speculative
- The model plus should be replaced by the air
- The prices of the range could increase compared to last year
The details of the pricing of the iPhone 17 remain speculative. The “plus”, the least popular model in the range, is likely to be replaced by a new “air” model.
The speculated price is as follows:
- iPhone 17: 6.27 inches, A19 / 8 GB (£ 799/799 $)
- Air iPhone 17: 6.65 inches, A19 / 8 GB (£ 899 / $ 899)
- iPhone 17 pro: 6.27 inches, A19 pro / 12 GB (£ 1,099 / $ 1,099)
- iPhone 17 Pro Max: 6.86 inches, A19 Pro / 12 GB (£ 1,199 £ / $ 1 199)
If these rumors are true, we could see an increase in the cost, the price of the pro model increasing by £ 100 $ 100.
What specifications and features will the iPhone 17 have?
In summary
- All models should include LTPO screens
- All except the pro max should stick to 8 GB of RAM
- Selfie cameras likely to obtain a 24 Mp bump from 12MP
- IPhone 17 air can be less than 5.6 mm thick
Air iPhone 17
The iPhone 17 air, previously called iPhone 17 Slim, is likely to replace the most as an intermediate level model in the Apple range, positioned between the iPhone 17 and the iPhone 17 Pro.
It was described as “incredibly thin”, with an alleged thickness of less than 5.6 mm, which makes it even thinner than the edge of Samsung S25 galaxy of 5.8 mm, and lighter at 145 g.
It should include a new OLED Ultra-Mance screen, made possible by the Novatek OLED TDDI (touch and display) panel, which incorporates the touchscreen sensor and the display driver in a single layer.
To get its ultra-thin shape, iPhone 17 air is likely to have a small 2800 mAh battery, certainly no physical sim card slit and only a single 48 MP rear camera. To help the battery life problems, Apple should sell a battery case for the model, which, by making it thicker and heavier, would cancel its key sale argument.

Having seen models of the models, we now know that the iPhone 17 air is smaller than the iPhone 16 more than 6.33 inches.

It should also include a 6.6 -inch screen (slightly smaller than iPhone Plus models), a face ID, a dynamic cutting of the island and an aluminum chassis.
The iPhone 17 air should work on the A19 chip (not the A19 Pro), 8 GB of RAM and have a 24MP front camera, making it a solid competitor for users who want premium functionality without the high price of pro models.

iPhone 17 Ultra
Will there be an “ultra” model, as some rumors have suggested? There have been speculation that an “ultra” model could replace the Pro Max, but at this stage, there is no consensus.

Design
An image disclosed to the fake models of the iPhone 17 range provided the first concrete information on the placement of the lens and the design of the camera modules.

All models in the new range will have a dynamic island which is “largely unchanged” from the iPhone 16.
Regarding construction, a return to aluminum frames is possible, with the exception of pro models, which should keep their frames in titanium.
Apple can introduce a new display size for the standard model of the iPhone 17 in 2025. The iPhone 17 is likely to measure 6.3 inch, against 6.1 inch, which would make the same size as the iPhone 16 Pro.
Apple could introduce a new green color option for iPhone 17 pro models, because it turned out to test the color codes, including # 004349 (Titane killed), # 4F00B7 (green titanium) and # 003800 (dark green titanium). The Sarcelle titanium is considered to be the most likely to go to the final range by moving compared to the more moderate traditional color options for its pro models.

Display
All models in the iPhone 17 range should include LTPO screens, with sizes varying between 6.27 inches and 6.86 inches. The screen always on, previously exclusive to the pro models, would become standard in all versions.
It is also suggested that the entire iPhone 17 range will include promotion screens, Apple’s term for high rate technology.
It remains uncertain if the standard models of the iPhone 17 will correspond to the refreshment rate of 120 Hz of the pro or will be satisfied with a slightly lower 90 Hz. Be that as it may, this would mark a significant improvement compared to 60 Hz screens found in current non -pro models, although it happens years after its competitors.

Performance
All the models of the iPhone 17 will probably be supplied by Apple's A19 chip, although only the pro and pro max variants should obtain the more powerful A19 Pro.
The iPhone 17 Pro Max should have 12 GB of RAM, while other models will remain 8 GB of RAM.
Despite Apple's efforts to develop its own 5G modem, the iPhone 17 series will probably still be based on Qualcomm for cell connectivity. Wi-Fi 7 support is also planned.
It is believed that Apple adopts the cooling of the steam room on all models in the range. Steam rooms are advanced cooling systems that use a small amount of liquid water, generally deionized, to dispel heat. The heat of the chipset evaporates the liquid and the steam spreads through the room to effectively cool the device.

Cameras
Significant upgrade is expected at the front camera, with all models with a 24MP sensor with a 6P lens, compared to the current 12MP Selfie camera.
The iPhone 17 Pro Max should include a 48 MP wide camera, an ultrawid 48 Mp camera and a 48 MP tetraprism television, which will have the first iPhone to have three 48 MP cameras.

Battery and load
Apple should introduce an innovative battery removal technology induced by electricity throughout the iPhone 17 range.
This technology would have relied on the adhesive mechanism seen in the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus, which allowed users to easily detach the battery by applying a low voltage electric current.
The adhesive softens when connected to a 9V battery, a USB-C charger or other power sources, making maintenance and replacement of the battery more user-friendly.

Software
The iPhone 17 series will be launched with iOS 19, filled with new features and improvements.
Although AI plays an increasingly central role in telephone software, continuous problems with Apple Intelligence mean that it seems likely that Google Gemini will be on iOS 19.
