As added, we can highlight the new lighting system, which was included in this model. Although it is always completely optional (just not connect the lighting cable), it allows you to give a touch of simple and elegant light to the computer.
As for compatibility, we can install it in:
- Intel LGA 1851/1700/1200/1150/1151/1155
- AMD AM4 / AM5 / TR5 / TR4 / STRX4
The pack is delivered with all the accessories for assembly, a manual of paper instructions (a detail, the truth) and a bottle to recharge the liquid spent a certain time to double its useful life.
Unpacking and external analysis
This new being calm! Silent Loop 3 is available in a fairly large cardboard box (remember that it is the 420 mm model). At the front of the box, we can see a photo of the liquid itself with its radiator, the fans and the pump, while we can see a little the most important details of this new model.
We open the box and, as we can see, inside, we have a packaging that bets more on the cardboard, although there are still elements inside the plastic bags.
We take out all the elements of the box, and we have like that. The first thing we are going to talk about is the liquid boat to fill the liquid and be able to extend its useful lifespan, and the second instructions manual that will help us mount and start the cooling system.
In the small cardboard box, we will find all the assembly accessories. For example, we will see the anchors of Intel Yamd processors, screws, flanges, a small thermal paste and a concentrator to connect the three fans to a single PWM port of the motherboard, which considerably simplifies wiring.
We also find fans. In this specific case, we are talking about three silent wings 4 of 140 mm each. These fans are distinguished to offer a very silent operation and an excellent air flow, perfect for dissipating heat that accumulates in the radiator.
Fans have a 7-Blade design, with brands to facilitate the passage of air. The operation of each fan is 12 V and 0.4 Ampères, and a maximum speed of 1,900 rpm.
On the sides of each fan, we can find certain marks that indicate where they will turn and where the air flow will go. And we can also see in detail the 4-FIL connector, which will allow the plate to control the speed by modulation.
Then we will see in detail the liquid cooling system itself. As we can see, this is formed by a black radiator, quite large, with a design that differs from anything from the other models. Two tubes come from the top, which reach the pump, which has received changes with regard to the previous models.
The first thing we will see of the bomb itself is that it has two cables. On the one hand, we have the PWM, which will be responsible for controlling the RPM and giving it food at work, and on the other hand the A-RGB cable to nourish and control the lighting.
The pump has a very simple design. We can highlight the striped design with the horizontal band with the Be Siet logo! In the upper and lower part of the pump, we find the two screws, which will allow us to mount the system in the anchor.
In the lower part, we have the base which will be in contact with the CPU. This base is very polite and will give us an excellent conductivity. And we will also see the two tubes that leave the right part of the pump.
The thickness of these tubes is 10 mm.
The tubes reach the radiator and enter with a reinforcement which guarantees that there are no liquid leaks. On one of the sides, we find a screw, which will allow us to open the cap to recharge the liquid in case we need it.
The design of the radiator as such is very simple. Everything is black and has a very fine turn to generate an excellent flow of air.
The height of the radiator is 27 mm. The width is slightly less than 140 mm and aspires to just under 460 mm. Therefore, using approaches, the dimensions provided by the manufacturer are respected.
Facility
The first thing we did was put the fans on the radiator. As our assembly will be at the top of a tower, and we want the heat to be described outside, which we have done was to mount them so that the air flow crosses them. We set them up by the same face where the tubes enter, and we used the long screws that come. We also placed all the cables on the same side, in particular, to be on the left, to facilitate the connection.
We also connected the pipe to connect all fans to a single PWM port on the motherboard.
Then, it is a turning point in the CPU block, where the circuit pump is integrated. As we are going to use an AM5 socket, which we did was place the stops and screws, with the support, in the taking itself. No rear plate is distant (the clean AMD is used in all plates), so the installation can be carried out, without problem, in just one minute.
And ready. Now we apply the thermal dough, place the CPU block and tighten the two screws to anchor it with the support. Just connect the three cables (hub of radiator fans, PWM and A-RGB pumping) to the motherboard and start the PC.
We already have the liquid refrigeration system to be silent! Loop silent 3 installed, so the time has come to see how it works, right?
Performance tests
Let's go with the tests. To do this, we used a processor AMD Ryzen 9 9900XOne of the new AMD ranges. And for the tests, we carried out the same usual ritual, that is to say to go up everything, let it work for a few hours to adjust the pasta and which are not bubbles in the pump or in the tubes, Then two other hours at rest.
With the PC already ready, we did the temperature tests using the Aida itself64 stress test.
Having an average temperature in the room of around 21 degrees, we can see that we have reached an exceptional temperature. At the beginning, with the fans and the pump at least, our processor had a temperature of 45 to 47 degrees. And we put this a good time in full performance, with the fans and the 100% pump of the BIOS. On average, we managed to control it at around 64 degrees, something impressive taking into account that this processor has a 120W TDP, which is not precisely easy to dissipate.
In addition, in terms of volume, we can say what is located! By operating normally (leaving the fans by PWM) and with the closed box, this liquid is practically inaudible even with the PC subject to loading. But even if you define fans to work 100% because you want maximum performance, it's not noisy. Yes, it shows that fans emit noise, but it is neither boring nor exaggerated.
Conclusion, is it worth it?
Again, we are faced with a range of range. Be quiet! He worked hard to improve a product which, in itself, was excellent. With a few affected, it managed to improve the performance and volume of the pump, while maintaining the essence of the “silent” range thanks to fans of Silent Wings 4, one of the fans with better performance and a volume lower on the market.
If something is characterized is silent! It is a question of offering excellent quality products, sacrificing details such as RGB lighting, which is so present in almost all fans and components of the market to, in return, a much lower sound. This specific model has what many are looking for for our personal PC, a touch of light and disguised light, easily configurable from the motherboard software, which allows us to work and play without listening to the noise of fans. If yours must transform your PC into a nightclub, you should bet on its brother model, so calm! Light loop.
For all this, we decided to give the Be quiet! Silent loop 3 Our Platinum price, in addition to a deserved price for its performance.
