Xiaomi announced its 12 and 12 Pro phones in December 2021, and they finally released globally in early 2022.
The three phones confirmed at launch were the Xiaomi 12 Pro, Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12X – although the latter has yet to be confirmed to get a European release. At this point it is very unlikely, although the Xiaomi 12 Lite has arrived in Europe.
The 12 and 12 Pro were among the first phones to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. They also feature a 50Mp triple camera setup, capable of 8K recording.

When will the Xiaomi 12 series be released?
The Xiaomi 12 series was released in China in December 2021.
In the UK, the Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro have been on sale since April 2022.
Typically, Xiaomi doesn’t sell its handsets in the US, so we don’t expect the phones to go on sale in America.
