By now we are all aware of the great advantages that a keyboard specifically designed for gaming can provide us, but that doesn’t mean some people don’t use the keyboard exclusively for gaming; When you use the keyboard for many hours a day, every day, you often prefer a low profile to reduce typing effort, but unfortunately there aren’t many models with these features on the market. aware of this, PRIVATE just presented the new K100 AIR wirelessa high-end mechanical keyboard that boasts of being the most beautiful in its history.
This is CORSAIR’s thinnest mechanical keyboard, measuring just 11mm at its thinnest, making it the world’s thinnest mechanical switch keyboard. finest in the world
CORSAIR K100 AIR, mechanical but thin
As we said, CORSAIR designed this keyboard with users in mind who want to retain the benefits of mechanical keyboards, but without the discomfort of having to press nearly half a centimeter of travel. To do this, the American manufacturer used new mechanical switches Ultra low profile CHERRY MX, which, as their name suggests, are even thinner than the Low Profiles they had until now and that CORSAIR was already mounting on models like the K70 RapidFire RGB LP.
In addition to being a mechanical keyboard, the CORSAIR K100 AIR is a wireless keyboard, which naturally incorporates proprietary technology AXONE CORSAIRE low latency and 8000Hz polling rate (it’s via USB cable and only for PC and Mac). In addition, we can use it wirelessly on PC and Mac with the technology Wireless SLIPSTREAMas well as with Bluetooth low consumption, and according to the manufacturer, you can link the keyboard with PC, laptop and tablets indistinctly and easily switch between them by pressing a key. In addition, the connection is encrypted with a 128-bit AES algorithm.
Other than that, the K100 AIR has 4 macro keys (above the numeric keypad) configurable with CORSAIR iCUE software, 8MB of onboard storage to store up to 50 key mapping and lighting profiles, and of course how we ended up mentioning, it’s a keyboard with independently configurable RGB lighting per key.
Finally, according to the manufacturer, this keyboard offers up to 50 hours of autonomy if we use the lighting, or up to 200 hours if we turn it off completely, so we could use it for weeks without having to recharge battery.
Price and availability
CORSAIR has announced that the new K100 AIR WIRELESS will be available starting next October 4 of 2022, but they did not indicate the price. However, seeing the manufacturer’s trajectory and trend in terms of the price of its peripherals, we can guess that it will easily be around 200 Euros. By the way, the manufacturer has already told us that they will send us a sample for review, so very soon we will be able to tell you what it looks like and how it works first hand.
