Dyson has released information on a host of upcoming cleaners, including one – the 360 Vis Nav – which we’re reviewing here. Also on the list of announcements is a new flagship cordless vacuum, the Gen5detect, as well as the V15 Detect Submarine Wet/Dry Vacuum and the Big+Quiet Air Purifier.
What is 360 Vis Nav?
The 360 Vis Nav is a future vacuum robot. It has a very different hardware design to Dyson’s latest robot vacuum, the large, cake-shaped 360 Heurist.
It also has new features, including the ability to create a dust map of your home. Plus there’s its incredible suction power: Dyson claims it has six times the suction power of its rivals.
When will the 360 Vis Nav be available for purchase?
The Vis Nav will be available for purchase later in 2023. As of now, a specific UK release date has not been confirmed. It will be available to buy from Dyson online and in Dyson demo stores.
How much will the 360 Vis Nav cost?
Dyson has not yet released the price of the Vis Nav in different countries. We will update this article as more information becomes available.
What are the features of the 360 Vis Nav?
First, Dyson’s big claim about the 360 Vis Nav is that it has six times the suction of its rivals – although it doesn’t specify which rivals they may be. And while robot vacuum makers usually measure their suction in Pa (Pascals – a unit of pressure), Dyson doesn’t, so it’s hard to compare.
Still, on paper, it’s impressive. Dyson’s Hyperdymium motor spins at 110.00 rpm to power its suction and ten cyclones pull dust from the air stream for efficient cleaning even when the bin fills up.
On the outside, there’s a new look for the 360 Vis Nav. It has more in common with Neato robot vacuums than Dyson’s latest offering, the 360 Heurist. It has a much lower profile, to begin with, so it’s more likely to be able to clean under your couch and bed. Plus, there’s its D-shaped design, which should give it an edge when it comes to cleaning right up to the walls of a room.

Its brush bar has also been redesigned, with three elements working to pick up different types of dirt: plush nylon for large debris on hard floors, anti-static carbon filaments for picking up fine dust and stiff nylon bristles for clean the carpets.
The 360 in the robot’s name refers to its wide field of vision, which comes from a fish-eye camera lens built into the machine. It has a total of 26 sensors to help it avoid obstacles and orient itself in a room, which should help make it self-sufficient and capable when it comes to navigation.
Additionally, it has a built-in piezo sensor – an acoustic sensor you may be familiar with from the V15 Detect, where it is used to measure the size and volume of dust particles which are then displayed on the screen of the vacuum cleaner.
In the case of the 360 Vis Nav it goes one step further and the information is used to create a dust map of your home, which you can view in the MyDyson app.

The robot has HEPA filtration throughout the machine to trap 99.99% of particles as small as 0.1 microns, so it won’t blow out pollen and allergens while cleaning.
But there is still the ferry to face. When it comes to emptying the on-board bin, nasty fumbling is to be minimized by an ejection mechanism which we imagine will be similar to that of its cordless vacuum cleaners. In other words: some digging work may still be required.
It has a battery life of 50 minutes before having to return to its docking station and recharge.
We can’t wait to review the 360 Vis Nav. In the meantime, take a look at our roundup of the best robot vacuums we’ve tested to see our current recommendations.
