Evie, a smart ring designed specifically for women, is getting a new feature in the form of an AI-powered wellness assistant that aims to be a more trusted source for your medical queries than ChatGPT and better than its competitors such as Oura.
At CES 2025, Movano Health says EvieAI is the first-ever wearable virtual wellness assistant and has been trained using data from over 100,000 medical journals to ensure you get more accurate answers to your requests.
The assistant will be available through the companion smartphone app Evie and for those hesitant to discuss anything health-related with an AI chatbot, Movano Health says it has followed industry standard encryption protocols to ensure data protection when shared and stored.
This should mean that chats with EvieAI cannot be traced back to individual users for privacy reasons.
Health Movano
Movano Health plans to enhance the capabilities of its AI wellness assistant to offer personalized responses based on data captured by the smart ring and saved in the app by users.
So this would include measurements such as heart rate, blood oxygen, skin temperature, exercise and mood. As mentioned, this is a feature planned for the future.
For now, existing Evie Ring owners can access the EvieAI beta for free. While it's not an Evie Ring 2, the addition of new features to the existing ring should be good news for existing users and for a smart ring that has received mixed reviews since its release. for sale.
Competition has also increased since the Evie Ring was first revealed in 2022 ahead of its 2024 launch.
AI in wearables in general is still in its infancy, so it will be intriguing to see if this makes the Evie Ring more appealing or if Movano Health needs to do more to convince future smart ring owners to choose it rather than devices like the Oura Ring and Samsung Galaxy Ring.
Smart rings announced at CES 2025 include the Circular Ring 2 and Ultrahuman Rare.
