Most laptops released between 2018 and 2019 have the Intel Iris Plus 655 GPU (Core i7-8569U, Core i7-8559U, Core i5-8279U, Core i5-8269U, Core i5-8259U and Core i3-8109U ), in addition to many Intel NUC models. It is clear that they are not made for gaming, but that doesn't mean that, like everyone else, we occasionally want to play the game, so let's take a look at what kind of integrated Intel functionality can provide us.

By definition, these are, without a doubt, graphics not designed for gaming, and despite the fact that they support 4K resolution at least, we can't expect to be able to play at 1080p and 60 FPS, not with graphics at least. All of this, however, is looking at the information on the page.
However, there is a chance that you can use it to play some simple games at 1080p or not up to 60 FPS and, in fact, if we lower the resolution to 720p, there will still be some games that will be "played". Not that the 720p graphics experience at least will be satisfactory, but at least it can be playable.
Game performance
Performing a performance test using a small PC Intel NUC NUC8i7BEHequipped with a processor Intel Core i7-8559U (Okungukuhamba forward to the second of these, including a graph included) accompanied by 16 GB of 2400 MHz DDR4 RAM
This was the result, in all cases when it was resolved 1280 x 720 pixels:
As you can see, these games at 720p they are completely playable, although we're already telling you that for example Gta V at 720p and everything at least has nothing to do with playing 1080p in PC gaming, because even though the amount of FPS is worth it, the feeling seems to be slowing down all the time.
In games like CS: GO, where this graph shows average performance at 720p, we also did a 1080p resolution resolution with everything smaller and more playable, as it gives us the average FPS in this case of 42- FPS, though not as good and small for the type of game it is.
Is this GPU enough to play?
Of course, at least if you want to have a gaming experience. If all you need is time killing and you don't mind the graphics, you can try the games at 720p and it will give you a break from the problems, but certainly not to enjoy the games.
These embedded graphics may be sufficient for browser games, or other simple games at 720p, but they certainly won't play at 1080p and are even smaller at 60 FPS.
