So you want a new Android tablet. You like the look of Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S9, but you can’t justify the $799 starting price. What should you do?
It turns out the solution is simple. Just get the Galaxy Tab A9+, which retains the 11-inch screen and other basic features but drops the asking price to $219.99.
And if you’re in the United States, things are getting even better right now. Amazon’s Big Spring sale is offering an extra 23% off, making it an extraordinary value at just $169.99.
Given that the tablet was only released at the end of November, it’s no surprise that this is the lowest price ever.
However, you may be wondering about the title of this article. If the Tab A9+ is truly the best budget tablet Samsung makes, why is it behind the regular Galaxy Tab A9 in Tech Advisor’s roundup?

Basically it depends on availability and regular prices. The standard Tab A9 isn’t available in the US, but the A9+ is a nice alternative. The extra you have to pay in the UK and other markets is generally not worth it for most people, although even that has now been eliminated by this significant discount.
Unless you need top-tier performance, the Galaxy Tab A9+ will do everything you need and more. In our 8/10 review, we praised its everyday performance, design, audio, and user-friendly software, including four years of security updates.
However, you don’t have long to acquire it at this price. As part of Amazon’s spring sales, the deal is likely to expire 11:59 p.m. March 25.
You don’t need to be a Prime member to take advantage, although subscribers do have access to free next-day delivery.
After a 30-day free trial, Prime costs £8.99/$14.99 per month or £95/$139 if you pay annually. However, there are plenty of other benefits, including access to the Prime Video streaming service and 100 million songs through Amazon Music Prime.
Not a fan of Samsung tablets? How about Google’s Pixel tablet, which includes a dock to turn it into a smart display. It now starts at $399 with a $100 discount, or you can get $150 off the 256GB model, or $449.
