Google surprised us all, but unlike other times, it leaves many speechless as they change their final policies and will stop providing free photo storage for mobile phones.
According to sources TechCrunch, the company will stop providing unlimited storage to all users who decide to store photos and videos in HD quality, something they have been giving you so far since 2015.
In fact, the end of unlimited storage not only touches Google images, but also other services such as Google Drive texts, and Gmail emails. All three will be included in this cap which is set at 15 GB for free.
When do the new limits come into effect?
It will take effect next June 1, 2021 when the rate is active, so that any photo or video synced with the Google One service, from that date, will be reduced from 15 GB of free storage to each account.
The company has launched an information campaign, where it sends an email to users informing them of new developments. Basically, it is said that you can no longer use Google Photos to back up your photos and videos.
It also indicates that before June 1, 2021, the company will introduce to the users a new storage management tool through which they can access all content to filter or eliminate unwanted video and images.
Owners of Google Pixel mobiles, too, are affected
From Google they specify that all those photos and videos that were previously uploaded, will be stored without adding to the global GB census since they were synced and operated before the rating went into effect.
At first it seemed that Google Pixel mobile users could remove this rating, but all indications are that Google terminal owners will also be affected by the new limit.

In the case of users subscribing to the Amazon Premium app, they can access unlimited photo space up to 5 GB on all documents they want to upload to the cloud.
It should be noted that while other apps like Dropbox, OneDrive or Google Drive allow you to view and edit photos and texts stored in the cloud, from a mobile app or the web, Amazon Drive only allows you to save them, without any editing.
