The Honor Magic V5 has been plunged to establish a new foldable standard in a particular area, potentially wrapped in a much larger battery.
We all know the old story now. The foldables are excellent and all, but they have four persistent problems: cost, dust resistance, camera and battery life.
The first two problems are still very concerned, but the quality of the camera is increasing, and now the battery life seems to follow. The Honor Magic V5 may have the best endurance to date for a large foldable.
Honor CMIITS in the lifespan of the upper battery
The next foldable headlight of honor has just appeared in CMIIT certification. It is the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technologies, which is the equivalent of the FCC by China.
Essentially, before any phone appeared on the Chinese market, it must go through the CMIIT.

According to this list of the phone (MHB-AN10 model number), the Honor Magic V5 will operate on a huge 5,950mAh battery. According to a Weibo forensicler, this will equip at 6,100 mAh, which would be the largest foldable battery to date.
It is an increase in massive capacity of 20% compared to the already large battery (for a foldable battery) of 5,150 mAh in the Honor Magic V3. There was no honor Magic V4, if you are wondering.
Always the thinnest folding too
We do not expect it to increase the size of honor either. In fact, the Honor Magic V5 could be even leaner than the Honor Magic V3, falling below the 9 mm brand when closing (the V3 was 9.3 mm).
The key to this, of course, is the silicon carbon battery technology (SI-C), which produces more densely packaged batteries. This is the reason why the OnePlus 13 can offer a huge battery of 6,000 mAh without being a particularly important phone.
With the largest battery and the thinnest body, the Honor Magic V5 promises to be the ultimate foldable from the point of view of the material. If honor can slow down its software a little, we may have a major competitor to face the OpenPi Open.
