Houseparty is becoming one of the most popular applications right now. The period of incarceration when Spain as a whole was incorporated into it is undoubtedly the cause.
We can't get out of the house: the only way to stop the massive coronavirus increase. This means we won't go see our relatives, or meet our friends and drink.
However, incarceration does not mean we cannot meet people. There are apps like Houseparty that will help you feel closer to your loved ones and that will allow you to spend more hours alone thanks to the games the app is proposing.
On the other hand, if Houseparty doesn't convince you, you should know that there are many applications is designed to create group video calls that will bring you closer to your own.
Is Houseparty worth it?
It will. If we had to answer today we would have said yes. Default confinement makes these types of applications that allow you to interact with other people in the appropriate range.
However, the app has some bugs, and we think there is still a lot of room for improvement. Here's what we tell you about good and bad:
Household Benefits
- Group video calls for up to 8 people
- You can play various games by video call
- It's free
Cons of Houseparty
- The app is only available in English (and its games too)
- Lack of variety of games
- The interface is very simple and difficult to get used to
How does Houseparty work?
As we recently announced, the Houseparty interface is actually not compatible, so, we've decided to create a step-by-step guide to help you better understand how Houseparty works.
The first thing you will need to download is the app to your mobile phone. Application available for Android and on iOS.
When you install an app (it's completely free), you'll need to create your account. For this you will need a username, email and password. It's that simple. Remember your username because thanks they will be able to find you.
The main screen of the app shows the video image you recorded, smiling broadly! At any time someone can call you. Below you will see several icons:
- Video Camera: touch it if you want to disable your video
- Camera Curve: to select which camera you want to use, front or back
- Padlock: lock the room and that no one can disturb you
- Microphone: to turn off your audio output if you don't want to be heard
- Cross: exit any call immediately
The icons at the top of the screen are what allow you to be social. A smiling face icon will help you find friends who have already installed the app.
That is, those who already have Houseparty on their mobile phones will appear on your phone contact list. We recommend you take a look at this list and click the & # 39; Add & # 39; to add as many contacts as you like.
If you want to include a specific person, we recommend that you request their username and write it in the section "Add Friends & # 39; Below, on & # 39; My Friends & # 39 ;, you'll see people who are already your friends on Houseparty.
The central icon in the form of a circle, at the top of the screen, returns to show you suggestions from friends to add. In addition, you will be able to access your inbox and see if there is a message written for you.
Icon & # 39; + & # 39; it gives us the opportunity to search for a contact by typing its username. You can also see, a list of friends you've added.
If you touch any of these friends and click the & # 39; Invite button in the living room & # 39 ;, you will be inviting that person to a video call. You can add multiple friends at the same time to make a group video call.
What games at Houseparty?
When you are in the video call, you can, if you wish, invite your contact to play various games. Houseparty currently offers four different games. Keep in mind that they are all available in English only.
- Heads up: You will have to choose one of the desk options (there is one for free). You will have to give your opponent's directions to guess the card.
- A little: Questions will arise and each player will have to choose the correct answer.
- Chips and Guac: You'll have to have a minimum of three players. Books will appear and you will have to correct funny words and meanings.
- Quick Draw: let's draw! Of course you will need to draw something that appears on the screen (only one person will see the name of the item), the rest will be worth guessing
