What is a HEIC file?

How to open a HEIC file in Windows 10?
Make sure Windows 10 version 1809 or later is installed. If the installed version is earlier than 1809, then you will need to update your computer by going to Setting, followed by Update and security and Update Windows.
Next, you will need to install the supported utility, available from the Microsoft Store, called HEIF Image Extensions. It’s free, but you might have already installed it on your device.
