Storage drive manufacturer KIOXIA has just announced two new NVMe SSDs for the CM7 and CD8P series. Both drives have achieved PCIe 5.0 and NVM3 2.0 certification. Additionally, they have also passed University of New Hampshire Interoperability Lab testing to receive NVMe 2.0 certification.

With these two certifications, KIOXIA’s new CM7 and CD8P units are recommended components for use in data centers.
KIOXIA CM7 Series
KIOXIA’s CM7 drives are aimed at businesses and are available in 2.5-inch and E3.S versions. The 2.5 inch versions are the model CM7-V with a capacity of 12800, 6400, 3200 and 1600 GB and ideal for mixed use and model CM7-R focused on intense reading use, available in versions 30720, 15360, 7680, 3840 and 1920 GB. Both models share the same PCIe 5.0 and NVMe 2.0 connectivity options.
The E3.S models in the CM7 range are made up of two units. There CM7-V Focused on mixed reading and writing use, it is available in 12800, 6400, 3200 and 1600 GB. Model CM7-Rfocused on data reading, is available in capacities of 15,360, 7,680, 3,840 and 1,920 GB. Like the 2.5-inch models, both share the same connectivity specifications.

The CD8P range of data center storage drives. It is available in 2.5-inch and E3.S formats with the same storage capacity.
