LED Currentbody facial mask: series 2 review

If you have spent time on social networks, Google or Netflix, there is a good chance that you have met the current Light Therapy Mask. The first version of the Beauty gadget was presented on television in 2022 when season 3 of Emily in Paris broadcast, showing that the protagonist of Lily Collins, Emily, was sworn in the LED mask.

Since then, the beauty technology company at Maison Currentbody has published its second improved model of critical technology, with tastes Bridgerton Star Nicola Cochlan describing the mask as a “little additional help”.

It is undeniable that the initial cost of LED masks, current inclusive, is heavy. But if you tend to pay for a monthly face, these practical beauty technology gadgets are starting to be more reasonable.

The Light Therapy LED mask of the current: series 2 is beautifully wrapped. Inside the box, you will find the mask itself, which is attached to the controller. The controller has a USB-C load port and a button. This button starts the treatment of 10 minutes and it stops automatically once it has worked its magic.

Inside the box, you will also find a USB-C charger (but no plug) that will charge the entire mask in 4.5 hours, a plush and super soft storage bag with cords, a user manual, eye inserts and an NFC card, which allows you to see the test results of your LED mask.

Black eyes inserts can be easily appeared in the mask for more comfort. This helps to block all LED light that you might see from your peripheral view while using the facial mask, as well as making the technology piece a more comfortable and comfortable adjustment.

To adapt to the mask, you will have to fix the black multi-structure supplied with velcro pads. Although this is easy to do, you will however have to tackle the adjustment to make sure that the strap is long or short to secure the mask in the right position.

• Red light (633 nm): it is thought that increases the production of collagen, reduces fine lines and wrinkles
• Close infrared (830 nm): according to the brand, it helps to firm, tighten and brighten up the skin
• Near deep infrared (1072 nm): this stimulates the production of collagen deeply under the skin

When you have finished with the mask, all you have to do is wipe the inside with a damp cloth and keep it safe in your dust bag.

Performances and features

Despite its appearance, the mask is not painful to use. In fact, it does not cause any discomfort and it is not hot. Even when you turn on the mask, you will not feel anything at all. This is because the interior of the mask, which is on your face, is super smooth, so when it is on, you will not even know that it is there (apart from the additional 300 g of weight attached to your face).

I tried to use the mask with and without the inserts of the eyes, but I would advise to do the first. The red LEDs are shiny, so these practical inserts help prevent the lights from appearing in your peripheral vision. I would also recommend putting the mask before turning the 10 -minute program – in this way, you will not temporarily be dazzled by the intense red mist. If you should turn off the mask halfway from the treatment, you will need to keep the button on the remote control down.

To be honest, I would not say that the current series of the body 2 is delivered with tons of functionalities. In a sense, it is a big plus because it is so easy to use: just find 10 minutes of time for yourself, put the mask and press the unique button on the remote control. However, this means that you will not be able to adapt the treatment to a particular concern for skin care.

That said, I think most skin care treatments are better left to professionals and that the current body 2 series has certainly been carried out by a bunch of them. Therefore, each time you use the mask, you benefit from three clinically proven wavelengths, each with a multitude of advantages – such as stimulation of collagen production, reducing fine lines and wrinkles and refreshing, tightening and clarifying the skin. And I can confirm that after having used this for four weeks, that does that exactly.

After my first 10 -minute treatment, I must admit that, with all the media that this light therapy was received, I expected miracles. But the current body does not deal with rapid solutions, it deals with long -term results. Consequently, after two weeks of use, I noticed that my skin looked more desibly plump. After four weeks, I can see a difference in texture, an uneven complexion and redness.

The only thing that this mask cannot do? Tell yourself how many battery remains. Even if I went three weeks before I needed to load this device, it meant when I came to use it during the fourth week, I had to discover the way to the hard and savor my nightlife routine the next day once he had finished loading. You may also have to play with the straps so that the mask adapts as you wish.

This is an expensive purchase compared to the LED Mask LED Cryoglow Shark (£ 299.99 / $ 349), which the technological advisor has also tested and which benefits from many additional features. It has four light therapy programs (for the repair of imperfections, aging and more), a color -attached remote control with a countdown and a battery indicator, very efficient cooling pads, LEDs that automatically decrease when you remove the mask and more. Regarding the price and the features, the shark model is undoubtedly the best purchase.

Should you buy the current body of the body 2?

Overall, I am very impressed by the current series of the body 2. Once you have gotten used to the mask on your face, it is the perfect excuse to sit down and relax for 10 minutes while you scroll, read, watch TV or just take 10 to do Nada.

Another impressive feat is the difference that I noticed in my skin – and it is after four weeks! He reduced redness, given my skin a more uniform tone and helped to turn the hands from time on the fine lines.

As is the case with most things, consistency is the key. And the LED mask is no different. Therefore, it is a wise idea to keep this beauty gadget at hand as a reminder of really using it.

Anyway, I really evaluate the fact that all the hard work is for you. Although it is nice to choose a different mode and mix things, the USP of this mask is that it is designed to help anti-aging. And this fulfills more than this function.
