According to Winfuture media, the launch price of this console on the market in Europe will be 599 dollars (VAT included), a price that puts it on the same level as Valve's Steam Deck, offering greater power and versatility, since this, like the Legion Go, will be managed by Windows 11 instead of SteamOS, which will allow you to install any game store available on the market.
Inside, you will find one of three new processors AMD Ryzen Z2 (the current generation is managed by the Z1 Extreme), the most economical of all with 8 cores, 16 threads and which, according to various sources, will offer performance slightly lower than the Z1 Extreme but more than sufficient to run any type of game.
The graphics of this processor will be Radeon 680M and will have the same amount of RAM memory (16 GB LPDDR5) and 512 GB of SSD storage. The other major difference from the original Legion Go is the screen size. While the model currently on the market has a size of 8.8 inches, the new model will remain at 8, which will make it more portable and, at the same time, reduce its price.
Furthermore, just like the screen sizeTHE resolution end of this, going from 2560 x 1600 p to 1920 x 1080 p. This will have a refresh rate 120 Hz instead of the 140 Hz available in the model currently available on the market.
In addition, this new version will have the same design as the ASUS and the Steam Deck, with the built-in commands in the body, without the possibility of extracting them as can be done with the current model. The only improvement that this new version will bring is the battery capacity which will go from 49.2 Wh to 55 Wh, undoubtedly a reason to offer a larger body where the controls cannot be separated independently.
Regarding its launch date, everything indicates that it will be released during the first quarter of 2025. Being very optimistic, it is likely that during the CES organized at the beginning of the year in Las Vegas, doubts will be dispelled.
