After its presentation a little over a month ago, it was only a matter of time before one of the different laptop manufacturers bet on the new range of AMD processors to implement it in their computers. ASUS has just presented the new range of Zephyrus G16 2014 laptops, a new range of laptops inside which we find the new AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 Processor.
The new Zephyrus G16 2024 laptop range is available in four different configurations and features a slim and very light design, with a long-lasting battery with the most modern connectivity options and, of course, with a OLED display with VRR
This new ASUS laptop, available through the Republic of Gamers (ROG) brand, is now available for purchase in the United States, but not in Europe, so we will have to wait a few weeks until the availability of the Zephyrus range extends to the old continent.
New ASUS Laptop Lineup with AI
As we mentioned above, the new Zephyrus G16 2024 lineup is powered by the new processor with AI AMD Ryzen 9 HX 370a processor that includes a dedicated NPU to perform AI tasks locally without relying on the cloud or the computer’s CPU or graphics, which in turn helps you extend battery life.
Along with this processor, ASUS has opted for NVIDIA as a graphics manufacturer, especially for the models RTX 4070 And RTX 4060depending on the model we select. The model with the RTX 4070 graphics card comes with 32 GB of RAM LPDDR5X
In terms of connectivity options, this range includes support for Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3 and has a port USB41 USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type C port (DisplayPort and Power Delivery compatible). Additionally, it also has two ports USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type A1 HDMI 2.1 port, an SD Express 7 card reader and a headphone jack.
To ensure that heat is not a problem for the equipment, ROG has opted for liquid metal in the CPU and a heat pipe system with a 3-fan design of the 2nd generation. The chassis is made of aluminum with a customizable lighting matrix.
All models in this range feature a 16-inch screen with OLED technology and it is also officially compatible with NVIDIA G-Sync, being the first laptop with this type of screen to offer this compatibility. The screen has a Aspect ratio 16:10 with a resolution of 2.5K and being a device aimed at the gaming audience, it has a refresh rate 240 Hz. In addition, it is certified. VESA HDR True Black 500 display.
Pricing and Availability
At the moment, as we mentioned above, this new laptop is only available in the United States, so we only know the prices in dollars and to which we will have to add the corresponding taxes of each state.
The most expensive model of all includes the RTX 4070, 2TB of PCIe 4.0 NVMe storage, 32GB of RAM and goes up to $2,299.99. The entry model, $1,899includes the RTX 4060, 1TB of PCIe 4.0 NVMe storage, and 16GB of RAM.
