- Dear
- Some application options are difficult to find
Our Verdict
There’s a lot to like about the Roborock Qrevo Slim robot vacuum and mop. Its voice control does not require a smart speaker as an intermediary, the mapping is fast and adaptive and thanks to the docking station, maintenance is minimal. Plus, its side brush and mop pad extend smartly into corners. Still, while it’s packed with technology to make it easier to use, the overall cleaning performance didn’t impress us.

Touted as the thinnest robot vacuum with 3D time-of-flight technology, or ToF (a method of measuring the distance between a sensor and an object), Roborock’s Qrevo Slim robot vacuum mop promises a lot.
Besides not hitting objects around your home, it’s low enough to fit under furniture, has an RGB camera to spot dirt, and can detect floor types, increasing suction and stopping cleaning soft surfaces.
However, it’s the built-in voice control that doesn’t require a smart speaker that you may appreciate the most: it will respond to a multitude of commands, from starting and stopping cleaning to sending you back to the dock.
Design and build
- Low profile robot
- 1000 Pa suction
- The robot responds to direct voice commands
The first thing you’ll notice about the Qrevo Slim is its size: it’s 3.25 inches tall, allowing it to sweep over kitchen baseboards and access the space under beds and sofas (its diameter is quite average at 35 cm).
It is also quite light (4.2 kg) so it can be easily transported to another floor. Like its dock, the robot is finished in a mix of glossy and matte black plastic.

Added to this are navigation layers: LiDAR sensors (two at the front, one at the rear) and three cameras (one RGB and infrared at the front, one infrared at the rear).
Below there are a pair of rubber rollers for sweeping dirt with 11,000Pa suction, a side brush that reaches into corners and around furniture legs, and two mop pads (of which the right one also reaches ).

Additionally, for those who like convenient controls, there is a single button that can be pushed in different ways to spot clean, start cleaning, return the robot to the dock, clean only, or activate the child lock.

It’s paired with an upgraded Multifunctional Dock 3.0, which washes and dries mop pads, and contains a larger dust bag into which the Qrevo Slim can be emptied.
What’s nifty, especially for those who are less tech-savvy, is the built-in voice assistant, which doesn’t need to be connected to Wi-Fi to work. By saying “Hello Rocky”, you can for example ask the Qrevo Slim to clean a specific room (once mapped), or adjust the suction level, thanks to a multitude of predefined controls available in the app. It will even remember your conversation on a chat history screen.
Performance and Features
- Easy to edit maps
- Personalized cleaning
- Color camera
Only a few years ago, robot vacuum cleaners still took a long time to map a floor. However, this is not the case with the Qrevo Slim. We started it by mapping ours and it was done in minutes, presenting a floor plan that was easy to divide and name in the app into different spaces.
There are several options to customize your cleaning
We liked that it recognized that there were different types of floors and presented them on the map, although if you made a mistake you could change them.

Another advantage of the app is that there are multiple options to customize your cleaning: it is possible to choose a quick cleaning mode (ideal when guests are about to come down or on their way back), change the level of the robot’s beeps (plus there’s a Do Not Disturb option so it doesn’t make noise when you’re sleeping), four options each for the mop’s water flow and suction power, and you can choose whether you want it to circle once or twice.
Or, if you prefer the robot to make these decisions, there is Smart Plan, which makes cleaning choices for you.
That said, there are useful items, such as the choice of off-peak charging, that are hard to find, as is spot cleaning, hidden under a settings menu called Pin n Go, so digging through is a must. the menus.
We found remote viewing via its color camera interesting but gimmicky. It can be used to take photos of your pets, but this option has not been enabled in our app.

We tested cleaning the Qrevo Slim on hard (vinyl) floors and medium-pile carpets, using flour to represent dust and oats as larger debris. Although the cleaning was pretty good on the hard floor, we noticed that there was a line of oats that hadn’t been picked up after the cleaning was finished.
There was also a small amount of flour that had been left behind. Performance was inconsistent on carpets – although this is common for robot vacuums. Our carpet still had flour and some oats in it, even when we ran a second cycle on the highest suction power.

On the hard floor, the wash was tested with a thin layer of brown sauce and mint sauce left for a few hours. The brown gravy was easy to scoop up, but once the ground dried we later noticed that the gravy was still sticky underfoot.
Roborock’s Qrevo Slim sailed well – for the most part
Even though the mint sauce had dried, mint stains remained stuck to the brush rolls after being vacuumed. The mop pads also tended to spread the mint stains to other areas of the floor. Unfortunately there are no replacement pads so once covered in mint they had to be cleaned before further cleaning could be done.

Roborock’s Qrevo Slim navigated well for the most part – it avoided walls, table legs and doors – but although its makers say it can recognize and react to up to 73 types of obstacles, we we found that it was always hit by a low stone hearth, sucked in. and got clogged with a small piece of paper and swallowed a large feather from a cat toy.
One benefit we noticed after cleaning was that hair didn’t wrap around the brush rolls, which is a common problem with robot vacuums clogging.
The Qrevo Slim is particularly good at finding its way back to the dock. Having previously tested robot vacuums that lost their tricks, we were impressed that no matter where we placed the Qrevo Slim, it always found the dock quickly and directly.
Emptying in the dock trash was loud – but not as loud as some – while washing the mop pad was unobtrusive. We liked that the robot can also be told to stop drying the mop pads once they’re washed, meaning you can save energy on days when they dry naturally.
Pricing and availability
If you’re in Europe, you can already buy the Qrevo Slim. Its recommended retail price is $1,299 but it is currently available on Roborock’s German website and on its French online store for $999.
The Qrevo Slim is not yet available to purchase in the UK and US. We will update this review once it becomes available in stores.

Should you buy the Roborock Qrevo Slim?
Roborock’s Qrevo Slim brings useful advancements to the world of robot vacuum cleaners: it navigates more easily, doesn’t get stuck or lost, and makes it easier to customize cleaning options. Plus, you get all the convenience of voice control without being tied to a speaker or smart device.
However, despite all this technology, like most robot vacuums, there is still a gap between its performance on carpets and the capabilities of a standard vacuum cleaner. While mopping is helpful for daily maintenance, it is not a substitute for a hard floor cleaner or a mop and bucket.
Essentially, the Qrevo Slim saves a lot of time cleaning floors, but don’t replace your vacuum just yet.
