Samsung’s Galaxy S24 saw the launch of Galaxy AI, the company’s suite of artificial intelligence features.
Since then, they have remained exclusive to the S24, S24+ and S24 Ultra, but that will soon change.
Samsung has confirmed that its upcoming One UI 6.1 update (based on Android 14) will include Galaxy AI and will be available on compatible devices from end of March. However, a gradual rollout means it may take some time to appear on your device.
Here are all the smartphones and tablets confirmed to benefit from One UI 6.1, and with it, Galaxy AI:

Here are all the AI features you can hope for:
- Generative editing – automatically fills certain parts of a photo’s background
- Circle to search – circle anything on your screen to search for it on Google (text or images)
- Live translation – real-time two-way voice and text translation during phone calls in the native app
- Help with transcription – converts voice recordings into written transcriptions, which can then be summarized or translated
- Chat support – adjust the tone of your message or email based on the conversation. Can also translate any on-screen text into any of 13 languages
- Grade support – create summaries, custom templates and individual covers for notes in Samsung Notes.
- Navigation help – create online article summaries
- Interpreter – instant split-screen translation between two languages, allowing conversations between participants speaking different languages
- Instant slow motion – generates additional frames in an existing video to create a slow-motion version
All of these features rely on the AI processing capabilities of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, which is why they aren’t available on earlier Samsung phones that are still being updated by the company.
