Samsung may be behind some of the most well-known Android flagship phones, but the company doesn’t just focus on high-end devices.
In fact, mid-range models like the Galaxy A54 and Galaxy A34 are among the brand’s most popular.
And it’s easy to see why. While they’re more affordable, they offer great value for money, especially if you’re a fan of the One UI software and are invested in the Samsung ecosystem.
In this context, it is not surprising that the Galaxy A35 is highly anticipated. And even if its release is not expected for some time, many rumors are already circulating about it.
When will the Samsung Galaxy A35 be released?
Samsung typically sticks to a consistent schedule for releasing its phones, with March usually being the month when its mid-range offerings are released.
Dutch website GalaxyClub suggests early spring 2024 as a potential date, which would correspond to the launches of previous generations:
- Galaxy A32 – February 2021
- Galaxy A33 – March 2022
- Galaxy A34 – March 2023
Even if it’s not February or March, the Galaxy A35 will likely arrive in 2024. However, it’s worth noting that none of the aforementioned models have been released in the US, and that’s unlikely to change.
How much will the Samsung Galaxy A35 cost?
The Samsung Galaxy A34 was an instant hit as it combined very decent specs with an affordable price tag.
We don’t expect things to be any different, although at this point there is no concrete information regarding pricing yet. Let’s take a look at the prices of some of the previous models to see where we stand:
- Samsung Galaxy A32 – $329
- Samsung Galaxy A33 – $379.99
- Samsung Galaxy A34 – $399
As you can see, the Galaxy A3X series has been steadily increasing in price, with the phone slowly moving from a very affordable device to a mid-range one. This is due to inflation, but also to the hardware improving over the years.
Further price increases are possible, but expect to pay at least the starting price of the Galaxy A34 for the A35.
What will be the features of the Samsung Galaxy A35?
At the time of writing, the Galaxy A35 isn’t expected to hit shelves for some time. However, we already have a good idea of what it might look like:
Design
Samsung has introduced big design changes to its Galaxy A34 and A54 phones, so minor updates are more likely this time around.
We can expect something that looks a lot like the Galaxy A34 (shown below).

The screen
The display is another area that we imagine unchanged. The Galaxy A34 already has the best display in its class, a beautiful 6.6-inch AMOLED with a 120Hz refresh rate. It’s possible that the brightness will be increased slightly, but that will probably be it.
Of course, there is a chance that Samsung will decide to introduce a punch-hole camera in the A3X series, instead of the waterdrop notch of the Galaxy A34. This would make the smartphone look much more modern, but that’s just wishful thinking for now.
Performances
Performance was the main differentiator between the Galaxy A34 and the Galaxy A54.
While the latter benefits from Samsung’s upgraded Exynos 1380, the A34 has to make do with MediaTek’s older Dimensity 1080, but that could change in the next generation.
SamMobile suggests that the phone would be powered by the upcoming Exynos 1480, Samsung’s latest chip for this category. If that’s the case, the same SoC should end up in the Galaxy A55.
However, it is also possible that the brand will follow Apple’s lead and equip its cheapest iteration with the previous generation processor, namely the Eynos 1380 here.
But whatever chip is responsible for the Galaxy A35’s processing power, we imagine a decent boost in performance.
Cameras
Another important factor that distinguished the Galaxy A34 from the Galaxy A54 was its camera, especially the main sensor.
According to GalaxyClub, the A35 will feature the same 50MP main lens as the A54, a nice boost to its photography capabilities.
However, it’s not yet known what the other rear lenses will be, the 8MP ultra-wide angle and 2MP macro could both be improved. We also don’t know if the 13MP selfie lens will be changed.
Battery and charging
So far, there is unfortunately no information about changes to the battery or charging of the Galaxy A35.
A similar situation with the Galaxy A34 is most likely, which would mean a 5000mAh capacity and 25W wired charging, but incompatible with wireless.
It’s also worth noting that you’ll likely have to do without an adapter in the purchase box.
Software
Android 14 has arrived, but we’re still waiting for Samsung’s full version, known as One UI 6.
Samsung India’s website summarizes the major changes, which include notifications updates, a new camera UI, and a revamped Samsung Health app.
With the Galaxy A35 not expected until March 2024, it is very likely that it will feature One UI 6.
