Galaxy Z Fold 7: In summary
- Samsung book folding phone
- Should be launched in July
- Could include more than one model for the first time
Since the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold, Samsung, Samsung has been at the forefront of the foldable book style market.
However, the company's last attempt – Galaxy Z Fold 6 – was a little disappointing, offering few significant upgrades compared to its predecessor.
Will this change on the next Galaxy Z Fold 7? Rumors suggest that we are for big changes, including a second potential model in the range. Here is everything we know so far.
When will the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 be released?
In summary
- Galaxy Z Fold 7 should be announced in July
- Should be sold in a few weeks after being announced
Samsung will apparently launch the Galaxy Z Fold 7 alongside the Z Flip 7 at an event in New York in early July 2025.
This could be a little earlier than the launch of last year, which took place on July 10. As usual, we can expect the devices to be on sale shortly after their announcement.
Trap
Samsung's exit cycle for flagship devices is well established, with new Galaxy Z Fold models making its debut each year during the company's uncomfortable events around the middle of each calendar year. However, he seems to go gradually earlier.
If the company chooses to launch a more affordable alternative to the Galaxy Z Fold 7 at the same time, its release date could be more fluid.

How much will the Samsung Galaxy Z Plé 7 cost?
In summary
- Galaxy Z Fold 7 should start at around £ 1,799 / $ 1,899
- The Pixel 10 Pro Fold could be cheaper than its predecessor
Price rumors for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 are speculative at this stage, but the examination of recent models can give us a reasonable estimate:
Unfortunately, it does not seem that things will become cheaper for the next generation, rumor says the same price as its predecessor in “most of the markets”.
This probably includes the United Kingdom and the United States, so you will probably have to pay nearly £ 2,000 / $ 2,000 or even more for the device. Of course, this can be incorrect, and there can be significant price reductions, but that does not seem likely.

What specifications and characteristics Will Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 have?
In summary
- Much thinner design and larger internal display
- Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy Chipset expected
- Might include two models for the first time
A second model?
Samsung seems to plan two versions of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 for its release next year.
Three code names for the coming foldables were revealed: 'B7' for the Galaxy Z Flip 7, 'Q7' for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and 'Q7m' for an unidentified foldable.
The code name 'Q7' aligns with the Samsung Convention for its series of folds, suggesting that Q7 and Q7m can be part of the range of folds. However, the “m” in Q7m remains a mystery.
Trap
As a rule, Samsung Special Edition phones include a “A” suffix, as we can see with the special edition Galaxy Z Fold Codée “Q6a”.
The absence of this designation “A” raises the possibility that the Q7m is a different model, for example, the Galaxy Z Fold Fe, a version more favorable to the series of folds.

Design
One of the out -of -competition rumors is that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will be thinner and lighter than its predecessors. If it is true, the fold 7 would be around the same thickness as the ultra galaxy S24, which is only 8.6 mm thick.
Disclosed Cao renderings seem to confirm this. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 will just measure just off 4.5 mm thick when unfoldedAnd 9.5 mm when folded – potentially fall more than 9 mm If you don't include the camera bump. This would make it the thinnest fold Galaxy to date, even passing the 10.6 mm folded thickness from the special edition.
It's a little thicker than the ultra galaxy S25, but not much. This would be a significant realization, since the fold Z 6 arrives at 12.1 mm when it is folded. As with all leaks based on CAD, certain physical elements can change in the final product, but the large lines seem to be accurate.
Trap
Despite slimming, do not expect major design changes elsewhere. Samsung should keep the frame and camera rings of the Plé Z 6.

Display
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 could include a larger display, with rumors pointing to an interior foldable screen which extends to 8 inch, at the top of the 7.6 -inch main panel of the Z. This would make it one of the largest foldable screens on the market (despite the Mate XT of Huawei).
This is widely taken up by disclosed executives, who suggest that the interior screen can increase to 8.2 inchesand the cover screen at 6.5 inches. It is slightly from the 7.6 -inch 7 -inch inner panel of the Z.
The foldable handset will also be delivered with “a stronger display with new layers”, including a smaller fold. The telescope surrounding the display should also be considerably thinner.
Trap
In addition, Samsung could use Oled Phosphorescent Blue (Pholed) technology, which could allow a brighter display that uses less power. This change could contribute to the thinner design of the device by reducing battery size without sacrificing the quality or longevity of the screen.
Samsung will suppose to use “very effective” screens, contributing to an increase in battery life – up to 55 more minutes in internal tests.

S Pen
Samsung's display would have developed a technology to allow the pen -signs pen without scanning, which could eliminate the compromise between a thin design and a stylus support in future foldable devices.
In case of success, this innovation would allow Galaxy Roldables to keep the two features without compromising the thickness. However, no mass production calendar has been confirmed.
But the thinner shape factor has supposed to have forced Samsung to reduce certain features of the pen, although it is not yet clear. The S Pen for the Z Fold already lacks Bluetooth, unlike the S Pen Pro, and this trend can continue or even develop.
Interestingly, a new thick S pen can be launched next to fold 7, perhaps with an improved tip for a better writing experience. Samsung is not limited by an internal niche, which could give them freedom in the design of the pen.

Performance
The sooner, there were some contradictory rumors concerning the chipset, but it now seems that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will indeed use the Snapdragon 8 Elite for GalaxyA Qualcomm Qualcomm Overclocked version.
This is aligned with the history of Samsung to use high -level snapdragon fleas in its book style folders. The Exynos 2500, on the other hand, seems instead for the Flip 7 and Flip Fe models.
A previous rumor suggested that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 would be fueled by Samsung's own Exynos 2500 chipset, rather than one of the best Snapdragon processors in Qualcomm, which have traditionally fueled the company's folders.
Samsung is supposed to “aim to secure the design victories for the mobile models provided for the release in 2 hours” with the Exynos 2500, but it seems that it will no longer appear in the fold 7.
Trap
The Z Fold 7 will offer 12 GB of RAM on all models, alongside options for 256 GB, 512 GB and 1 TB of internal storage.

Cameras
The specifications of the camera for the Z Fold 7 remain speculative, but on the basis of the history of Samsung, we can expect improvements at all levels.
The biggest change can take the form of a new MADER 200 Mp Camera. This would mark a major jump of the 50MP sensor on the fold 6 and report the fold 7 online with the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
Ultrawide and 10MP 12MP telephotgates should come back, but the indoor screen camera can finally get an upgrade. It is not clear if it will include a higher number of megapixels, but an improved sensor for better light capture seems likely. The front oriented outdoor camera should stay at 10 MP.
Trap
The configuration to Triple Camera of the Z Fold 6 was already impressive, with a main sensor of 50 Mp, a 12MP Ultraid Lentile and a 10MP telephoto lens. The Z Fold 7 will probably bring other incremental upgrades, potentially adding new sensor technologies or improvements in IA -based photography characteristics.
Expect low light performance improvements, zoom capabilities and perhaps an improved underestimation camera, for an uninterrupted visualization experience on the interior screen.

Battery and load
A thinner device often raises concerns concerning the capacity of the battery, but Samsung could reduce this with more efficient components in power, such as the predicted pholo display.
The first reports suggested that Samsung could use a smaller battery without sacrificing the battery life. But now it seems that the fold 7 will use the same battery as the Galaxy Z Fold 6.
Trap
The Z Fold 6 has a 4400mAh battery with a 25 W wireless load and a 15W wireless load, so expect at least as a base line on the fold 7.
However, it seems that we will see other improvements. It seems that the device 25W cable load supportJust like his predecessor. No sign of the long -awaited 45W upgrade – despite the cheaper Samsung models that offer it now.

Software
As the Z Fold 7 is launched, it should operate on Android 16, probably with Samsung's own UI 8 experience. Hopefully this will take place faster than IU 7, which has taken several months.
The leaks suggest that a UI 8 will be a massive overhaul of the previous versions. Expect a redesigned user interface with new icons, animations and improved multitasking capacities, suitable for foldable devices.
A vertical application drawer and other user interface adjustments could ensure that the experience on the Z Fold 7 feels fresh, improving user productivity with the largest screen.
