When could the monkey be available on VOD?
Neon, the studio distributing the horror of Osgood Perkins in the United States, has not yet announced when the film is available for purchase and rental. However, we will estimate it according to the previous films of the studio.
Longlegs, the previous film by Perkins and the second most profitable film by Neon arrived in the VOD 42 days after the opening in the cinemas. On the other hand, relatively successful immaculate, a horror of nunsploitation led by Sydney Sweeney, appeared on digital after only 25 days. Anora, a sean baker's Oscar -winning dramatic, took 60 days to hit VOD. Anatomy of a Fall, another film acclaimed by the Academy, was available to rent or buy after 90 days.
After the first two weeks, the monkey is already the 6th most profitable film in Neon, and all the indications are that it will be a Smash at the box office. Therefore, the studio is not likely to precipitate the release of VOD. We expect the monkey to appear on digital Friday April 4, 2025 – 42 days after the cinematographic beginnings, as was the case for Longlegs.
In the United Kingdom, the monkey is distributed by Black Bear, and we think it will strike the VOD at a time similar to that of the United States.
Note that this is only a prediction, and we are waiting for the official announcement of Neon.
When could the monkey be available on DVD / Blu-ray?
Neon generally releases physical copies of his films after their appearance on VOD. However, it should be noted that in some cases, the films are launched on DVD and Blu -ray only after the Streaming release – this is what happened with Anora and the anatomy of a fall.
However, the monkey will most likely follow a path similar to the previous horrors of Neon. Copies of Longlegs and Immaculates appeared respectively 32 and 56 days after their arrival in VOD. Therefore, if our estimate of the above digital release date is correct, we expect the copies of Films by Osgood Perkins to hit us the stores Between May 6 to May 30, 2025.
In the United Kingdom, on the basis of the Longlegs and Immaculate Calendar, we expect the monkey to fall on DVD and Blu-Ray At the end of May / early June 2025.
When could the monkey be available to broadcast?
In the United States, Neon's films are streaming in Hulu. Longlegs and Immaculate have struck the service, and we expect the same thing for the monkey. The horror led by Nicolas Cage arrived on Hulu four and a half months after the release of the DVD and the Blu-ray, while the blow from Sydney Sweeney only took 25 days to do so.
Many will depend on the monkey's box office brush. If the film becomes a massive success, like Longlegs, it can happen on Hulu in a few months, Around July 2025. However, there is a chance that Neon does not delay the first streaming as much, and the horror will be published on Hulu later this spring.
In the United Kingdom, the monkey will most likely be released Prime Video. Based on the previous versions, it could happen 3 to 4 months after the release on DVD and Blu-ray, in the fall of 2025.
