The RTX 4070 Ti SUPER is the second of three graphics cards that NVIDIA has prepared to release in January; Last week we already saw the RTX 4070 SUPER and next week it will be the turn of the RTX 4080 SUPER. As you can already imagine, this is an intermediate model between the two, especially given the fact that with the launch of these three graphics NVIDIA is withdrawing the RTX 4080 and RTX 4070 Ti from the market, i.e. say with the exception of the RTX 4070 which drops in price and is below its SUPER version, these new graphics replace the previous ones in the company’s catalog.
The RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, designed for 1440p with high FPS
According to NVIDIA, the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER (which replaces the non-SUPER model) has 2.5 times the performance of the previous generation RTX 3070 Ti, and comes with a higher number of CUDA cores, more memory (16 GB vs. 12 GB). of the previous one) and the same consumption as the version it replaces (285W TDP). Of course, if we compare it to the previous generation, it also includes, among other things, DLSS3
An important fact about the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER is that, unlike the other two models, we will not find it in its Founders Edition version, that is, there will be no models manufactured by NVIDIA and we will only find it in custom versions of the usual assemblers from brands like ASUS, Zotac or AORUS, all with their custom heatsinks and, most likely, with factory overclocks.
This directly contradicts NVIDIA’s recommended retail price of $799 (which then translates to 889$) since, as you well know, assemblers always place great importance on their custom heatsinks and the fact that they have a factory OC. That said, it is very likely that we will see custom models of this graphic in stores starting today at prices that will start at 900 dollars, a price that is not exactly cheap.
According to NVIDIA, this graph is designed for gaming at 1440p resolution with high FPS rates, which we can see in the following graph, provided with NVIDIA’s internal data.
It would have been interesting if this data was provided to us by comparing the performance of the new model with the previous RTX 4070 Ti to see the extent of the improvement, but when the brand presented it to us during a private press conference, she told us that we can expect an improvement of around 10% compared to that and maintaining the same consumption.
The non-review at HardZone
When NVIDIA launched the RTX 4070 SUPER, we offered our analysis at the same time as the launch of the Founders Edition, and the day after the ASUS custom TUF Gaming model (respecting the dates and times of the confidentiality agreements). However, in this case there will be no (at least for the moment) review of the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER on this site.
The main reason is that since there is no Founders Edition of this model, NVIDIA was unable to send us a sample. As for the assemblers, it seems that they have a stock problem and our usual partners have not been able to get us a unit so that we can test it for ourselves and explain to you first hand how it works.
As for the RTX 4080 SUPER which will be launched next week, we still cannot confirm whether we will have a test or not, we are still waiting for NVIDIA and the assemblers to send us a unit, and although in both cases the response has been Yes, for the moment we do not have it in our hands.
