The dreaded end of season 3 of The Traitors in the UK is fast approaching, and what a crazy ride it's been. So what better way to celebrate the home stretch than by reliving the best moments?
While there have been some meme-worthy clips in 2025, I can't help but think about how they compare to what happened in the first two seasons. There are so many that this list was difficult to narrow down (sorry Lisa, your priest reveals he just missed the cut).
These are the most iconic moments from The Traitors, compiled by a superfan of the series. You can also find out when the latest episode will air because it's at a different time than usual and you won't want to miss it.
Diane's funeral
If you asked me to pick the best episode of the entire series, this is it. Pure cinema. No rating.
The peak of season 2 begins the night after Miles murdered Diane by handing her the chalice of poisoned sparkling rosé – with great difficulty. Rather than die as planned, the traitor walks into the breakfast room, sees her sitting there and says “Hiiii!” with the most panicked, maniacal smile you've ever seen in your life.

What followed was a full-fledged funeral march, complete with a haunting choir, a shrine to murdered medium Tracey and three players entering coffins as each chose who they thought had been marked for death. Then poor Ross had to attend his own mother's funeral. Talk about morbid.
After that we had traitors fighting each other, with Paul and Miles arguing to the death…or banishment, I guess. On the sidelines, Harry masterfully suggested that the two might be traitors – a move that would pay off for him later.
Tom's girlfriend reveals
The very first secret partnership in The Traitors UK was between Tom and Alex, who decided to hide the fact that they were romantically involved to get further in the competition… or at least that was the plan.
Unfortunately, pink-haired Tom lost his cool when accusations that Alex was a traitor surfaced at breakfast after his trial, leading him to explode at the other contestants and exclaim that she was 'straight up' his girlfriend, instantly losing favor with virtually everyone in the castle.
He believed himself to be a genius, because his training as a magician allowed him to read people, especially those who lied. But as Amanda, then “Mother” of the series, pointed out, he can't have been very good at his job, because he failed to identify a single traitor.
Added to all this is poor, handsome Matt, who was unconsciously flirting with Alex because he thought she was single and ready to mingle. During Tom's outburst, you can hear Maddy say to him, “I thought you were going to date Alex?” You can't write that. Extra points for Claudia's huge turtleneck.
Linda does the bare minimum
It's no secret that Linda was far from a traitor this season. And yet she survived week after week, despite some terribly sneaky behavior.
As soon as Linda was chosen, she turned to Claudia when addressing the traitors – something that did not go unnoticed by Jake. She would only accuse others if they came after her, not even bothering to try and pretend to hunt down bad actors with logical reasoning.
When she voted for Anna, she uttered the iconic phrase: “You don't have to be a sailor to know how to tie a rope… Sorry”, which is the most ridiculous reason to ban someone and once again something the Faithful have failed to understand.
Ironically, it was only after she decided to make an effort with an Oscar-worthy performance at breakfast, pretending to cry over Liv's murder, that she appeared on everyone's radar. But even then, it took him two nights to catch up with her. Never change, Linda.
“…but Ross is”
The twist to end all twists and turns was masterfully delivered by Dianne in Season 2, which earns two entries on this list.
We've had a few secret couples in the castle, and while two of them became public and ultimately led to the downfall of the contestants, one of them was kept a secret in the castle, but was revealed to us cheekily revealed at home.
During an interview with the talking head, Dianne laughed as the group speculated that she and Paul were mother and son as they both have red hair – but of course his is dyed and he is way too tall.
She then drops the bombshell that her real son is in the game, but it's Ross. The reveal is masterfully woven with real crime family photos of the couple as they have secret conversations in plain sight.
They continued the ruse until the end, with Ross unfortunately wasting his chance at revenge for his poor murdered mother when he was unwittingly recruited as a traitor by Harry and Andrew and fed to the wolves.
Kieran's parting gift
Whether you agree with this gameplay or not (and believe me, some of my friends still discuss it to this day), it was one of the high points of the first season, and it shook up the competition.
After betraying his fellow traitors twice, Wilf was seemingly close to stealing the entire prize for himself in Season 1. He had surrounded himself with people who trusted him and was convinced he could go all the way.
However, the rules required him to recruit. He chose Kieran, intending to throw him under the bus, like he did with Alyssa and Amanda. Of course, he didn't take into account that his fellow traitor had taken him with him. As he was rejected, he wrote to Wilfred on the board, uttering the final cursed words, “parting gift.”
In the end, the Faithful realized something was wrong and caught the last traitor by the fire.
Charlotte's Welsh accent
It’s one of those twists and turns that has left the UK collectively asking… why, though?
Charlotte, originally loyal (and now traitorous), decided, for no good reason, that she would speak with a Welsh accent for the entire game.
According to her, this is to make him appear more trustworthy. And fair play, because many of the contestants still around as of this writing call her their “100% loyal” – what percentage her accent plays into that is another matter, but she keeps up the ruse.
Perhaps one of the producers' best bedroom montages was the clip of her reading a book to learn Welsh. Truly incredible. Now we're all eagerly awaiting the big reveal of his true accent – perhaps even more than the reveal of his new role as a traitor.

Maddy's Eastenders saga
Maddy's detective skills during the first season were often questionable. That said, there's no doubt that his reasoning and logic in the talking heads was the most entertaining.
When she entered the castle, she chose only to reveal her role as receptionist. However, she eventually revealed that she was also a working actress, with the role of a lifetime as a homeless woman in Eastenders.
When this information was revealed, Welsh (actually Welsh, not fake) Queen Amanda managed to spin it so that Maddy seemed untrustworthy in the group, ultimately leading to her unfortunate banishment.
Despite her seemingly idiotic nature, she was the only one who identified Wilfred all along, so who's laughing now?
The fall of Paul
Although he didn't reach the end as a traitor, Paul is still considered the greatest villain the series has ever seen.
Before the competition, he admitted to reading American Psycho to prepare for his new role, and it certainly showed. He managed to manipulate virtually everyone around him, somehow managing to escape suspicion every week, despite all the signs pointing his way.
It seemed like he had fooled everyone… except two players. Jaz (or Jazatha Christie, as she was called) had identified Paul early on and was not threatened by his strange intimidation tactics. And then, of course, there's Harry.
Harry had already seen Paul throw Ash and Miles under the bus and decided to take his destiny into his own hands. He led the charge against Paul, who never saw it coming because he believed he was the true leader of the traitors. He came out with a well-deserved salute as the players went crazy – as infuriating as he was, he made for great TV.
The death match
There's nothing like a surprise game in The Traitors, and after a terrible day of getting shot at while Claudia sat on the shoulders of two massive men in stunning fur coats, poor Alexander, Leon, Anna and Fozia had to play for their lives, under the cover of darkness.
Everyone took turns drawing a card, and whoever got the life card managed to stay alive… but there was only one in the game.
The Death Match was a mix of luck and deception, with Claudia dealing the cards with incredible skeleton-like makeup. After graciously allowing Anna to go free, Fozia drew the wrong cards and, for the first time in the series, came face to face with the traitors only to be murdered.
While Minah said the phrase in a threatening manner, the funny thing about this clip is that Fozia didn't really seem to know what was going on. After finally accepting her fate, she passed the curse of banishment to Linda, who responded with an incredible “get over it”, certifying her legendary status.
Harry's ultimate betrayal
If you want to play the game as a successful traitor, just watch how Harry won the £95,000 prize in season 2.
After unmasking the dastardly Paul and cementing his false faithful identity by pretending to obtain the shield, Harry managed to go virtually unnoticed. Only Jazatha Christie was on the case. Unfortunately for him, Harry had kept his support network closer than ever.
I'll never forget the moment the nation collectively screamed at Mollie as she wrote Harry's name, before erasing it and writing poor Jaz's instead. In the end, she trusted her friend so much that she couldn't believe he would lie to her like that.
It made the photo of him telling her, over the hot hearth, that he had always been a traitor, all the more bitter…but brilliant.
