This week the MWC 2024 is being held in Barcelona, an event focused on mobile telephony, although some companies not related to mobile telephony are taking advantage of the media hype to present their main novelties for this year. Lenovo is one of them with the presentation of the first laptop with a transparent screen, which we talked about a few days ago. It is now the turn of the manufacturer TECNO.
The new range of mini PCs from this manufacturer consists of two models: MEGA MINI Gaming G1 with which it obtained the “Best of MWC” award and the MEGA MINI M1. Both devices are compatible with augmented reality glasses from the same manufacturer.
MEGA MINI Gaming G1
As can be deduced from its name, the MEGA MINI Gaming G1 is a small device focused on the gaming user and whose main feature is the water cooling system that it includes, being the first gaming device of this format to use this cooling system. .
On the market we can find mini gaming PCs that use the traditional cooling system through fans, the main novelty here is therefore the cooling system, a system that, as one can imagine, is not small , SO considered a mini PC you should take it with a pinch of salt.
This model is managed by the processor Intel Core Ultra (the specific version or available options have not been specified) although it is also available with the Intel Core i9-13900H processor with a frequency of 5.4 GHz. 32 GB DDR5 RAM
As for connectivity options, this model includes support for Wi-Fi 6 and has a Thunderbolt 4 compatible output. Additionally, it has a Oculink output to use external graphics, since the computer does not have its own beyond that built into the card. It has a mini screen on the outside that shows real-time information about the equipment’s charging. Concerning the launch price and availability on the market, TECNO has kept this information to itself, information which it will reveal in the coming weeks.
MEGA MINI M1
In addition to the Gaming model, this manufacturer also presented the MEGA MINI M1 model, a device that weighs only 410 grams in an aluminum chassis. Inside there is a processor 13th generation Intel Core (we also don’t know on which processor(s) it will be available) and Intel Iris Xe graphics compatible with 4K output.
The base memory of this model is 16 GB expandable up to a maximum of 32 GB using modules in SO-DIMM format and includes 512 GB of SSD storage. Includes up to 13 expansion ports to meet business and home needs. Respect the price and availability, as it is with the gaming model, TECNO has reserved this information, therefore, if we are interested in this model or in the introduction to a gaming public, we do not wish to remedy that we hope to do so. information.
