If you’re a seasoned PC user, you’ll surely remember the days when there wasn’t, as such, a PC controller that could be considered official, or even standard. Microsoft, during the 90s, developed and released a multitude of alternatives, but none managed to become this benchmark, so it was necessary to wait until the turn of the century and the arrival of Xbox consoles.

I send Xbox 360.

Xbox 360, the original controller

It is thanks to the second generation of Microsoft consoles, the Xbox 360, that those in Redmond have begun to develop a policy of hybrid devices which allowed us to use console commands on our PCs. First connected thanks to the USB cables they brought and then wireless thanks to adapters sold separately. But that’s when the A, B, Y, X, LB, LT, RB, RT, etc. have become popular.

So if you don’t have a gamepad at this point to play some evolutions with your computer, let us recommend three models that, in addition to being cheap, offer a design that recalls those early Xbox 360 controllers that we could use at the time and that, although not as flashy as Microsoft’s newest ones for Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S, they keep all their functionality intact.

Three models to play now

As is, here We leave you the three models that we have decided to select and which, for obvious reasons, do not belong to Microsoft. The first of these is from Diswoe and is connected by cable to the computer, which we recommend practically in all cases because it is the best way for the PC to detect it and respond when we are in the middle of the game. Add functions of force feedback

(vibration) and if you still have an old Xbox 360 you can use that too.

The second is from the Gezimetie brand and also is a clone of Microsoft’s legendary original design for Xbox 360. It offers an Xbox button, the same controls as the original design, it is also connected by cable to our computer and retains the vibration functions that were already present in the original model 17 years ago. Its price, as in the case of the others, is a bargain in these times of controls at 70 dollars.

The latest is a moving tribute to the first controller Microsoft launched with the Xbox 360 because, if you remember, the launch models had that characteristic off-white color. Then later, over the months, they already arrived in black, both the console and the controls. So this OSTENT wired controller is the one that will really transport you back to those early years of the century when Microsoft’s second machine coincided with Steam’s first PC, the Valve store that managed to save our computers from death due to hacking galloping. of those years.

The items listed contain an affiliate link that earns HardZone a small commission on each purchase. The products that appear here have been chosen by the editors because they are on sale, and their appearance here has nothing to do with any agreement with the brands.
