It was last January that Valve's intentions to expand its operating system were announced in Las Vegas Steam In other manufacturers, the interested machines and the first models we encountered were those of Lenovo. The new line of portable PC, called Legion goes sThey would have a variant that would land in stores as a replica of pride Steam bridge Only with a little more power.
The problem of this announcement is that the launch date they put seemed that he was never going to arrive because they marked it at the end of May, especially on the 26th (at the beginning, it was going to be a little before, but we forgive it). The fact is that this day has arrived and is today the moment when Steam He officially arrives at the equipment of another manufacturer other than Valve Thanks to two models you will have today.
Two models for the market assault
Thus, there will be two models that will reach the stores and, the truth is that Lenovo has changed the characteristics and performance of its range, after having verified that the errors were made completely. One of them was the inclusion of the processor Z2 Go As an extent of everything, as if it was the one who was going to save us and turned out to be a sidereal contil which, fortunately, was corrected in time. Of the two projected models, they left them in one, the cheapest they promised, and for the other, they did not want to make more mistakes and decided to add the reliable Z1 Extreme.
The first, the model of Legion goes s scam Z2 Go will carry 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage and will have a price of 579.99 dollarsIt therefore remains like the most economical but also less powerful alternative because it will considerably overcome what is seen in Steam Deck itself. It is true that this processor allows a TDP which practically folds towards the valve machine, but is far from the potential which was presumed in January when it was presented.
If you prefer to opt for the model with Z1 Extreme and 32 GB of RAM with 1 TB of storage, you will have to pay one more peak and leave to 829.99 dollars But here you will have all the power of a processor that has already been successfully tested in other portable PC like Lenovo Legion Go, or Asus Rog Ally and Rog Ally X. themselves. You therefore seek to have real power, although less energy efficiency, you will have to opt for this model.
Anyway, if you choose to buy the standard model of Lenovo Legion Go S (white) which arrived at the beginning of the year with Z2 Go or later with Z1 ExtremeYou know you can install without problem Steam Since Valve has already given as an officer that the two machines that support are, on the one hand, their Steam bridgeand on the other, the Lenovo Legion Go S generic way. So you just have to download the latest Steamos recovery image published by Gabe Newell, install it in a pendrive USB And put it in your portable PC to transform it completely.
