We already know what will be the world's first mini PC with a Snapdragon X Elite processor

Elite, mini, processor, Snapdragon, world39s

When Qualcomm announced the launch of its first ARM architecture processors for PCs, the Snapdragon However, a lot of time has passed since then and so far we have only seen implementations of these processors in laptops… until now, since the manufacturer GEEKOM announced which would be the first minicomputer of the world to carry a processor Snapdragon X Elite.

Well, to be true to the truth, it should be mentioned that it would not really be the “first” mini PC in the world with a Qualcomm Snapdragon these processors a few months ago. What is certain is that we are now facing the first commercial mini PC equipped with this processor, a device that anyone can buy. Let's see that.

GEEKOM QS series, with Snapdragon X Elite processor

It is the famous mini PC manufacturer GEEKOM, of which we have already shown you several first-hand analyzes and we can tell you that its behavior, performance and quality are quite good, which made the first official announcement of the update implemented. of this architecture in commercial mini PCs with its new QS series. Well, it's not really an advertisement as such either because the information comes from an image – which actually seems official – on the Chinese site Weibo, and besides this family of products is not even still listed on the manufacturer's website (following this “filtration”, they will surely work hard to put them in).

GEEKOM QS Series

The bad part? That we have no idea about the full technical specifications of the device. The only thing we can see in the published image is that the case is quite similar to the GEEKOM A8, this mini PC that we analyzed some time ago and which looks quite like a Mac mini but in miniature. What we can see with certainty is that it is a mini PC, that is to say that the format is practically that of an Intel NUC, and that it has a card reader on one side and two USB 3.1 Type A ports on the front, plus a mini audio jack. We don't see much else in the image.

Regarding its internal hardware, the only confirmation is the use of the Snapdragon X Elite processor, as you can see from the logo in the lower right corner of the image. This CPU has four variants that don't really differ much, but all have 12 cores with 42 MB cache and speeds ranging from 3.4 to 3.8 GHz, with an Adreno GPU ranging from 3.8 to 4.6 TFLOPs . All use LPDDR5X memory at 8,448 MHz.

Of course, we don't know anything (unfortunately) about the release date and price either, but as we've already mentioned, now that this image has leaked, GEEKOM will be sure to rush to list the gear available on its website, at which point we will be able to find out more about technical specifications, availability and price.
